Just my opinion but I think they'd rather sign a D (Polak or Franson) than trading away players

Yea, I don't understand trading Marincin and Fehr. Gauthier is injured and no way is Lijengren a call up this year. And while I"ll agree the Leafs would like improve their defence it isn't that bad. Most teams would like to improve their 5 to 8 positions too.
