I seen something like this earlier and I just have to say that Ottawa probably wouldn't trade Brown away. If Ottawa were to obtain Duchene then they would (in my opinion) trade Phaneuf (if he waives his NMC), Gagne, and a 1st.

With the amount of Centermen Ottawa has in the system, Brown seems like an asset they could afford to move. I find it very unlikely Phaneuf would waive his NMC to go to the worst record in the salary cap era Colorado Avalanche.

This would hurt the Sens way more than help. There would be no space to resign Turris, stone and Ceci. I doubt they move brown seeing that they moved up to get him in the draft. Only way I see Duchene coming is if salary is moved back but I agree phaneuf won't waive his clause. So it's either Ryan or MacArthur in a package. Odds seems low to me
