Not a fan of the trade. Rask looks to be about an equivalent player to Strome (except slower and shoots left), so it's Nugent-Hopkins and a good prospect for a late first-round pick who has no NHL experience and isn't dominating the third-best junior league in the country despite towering over his competition...

That Carlson contract... yuk. Sorry if peaople feel like Russel is over paid then same for this contract. Plus Russel is worth more. Kelfbom and Larsson would be first pairing

russell has no value at all... Carlson is actually a great dman, and free agents need to be paid.

Rask had 43 points last year, similar to Nuge but is cheaper (albeit less upside). have adjusted trade from Gautier/Rask -> Nuge/Strome/Laggesson to Bean/Rask/Roy/1st rounder -> Nuge/Strome/Laggesson

I still don't get why everyone seems to think that trading Rusell is a cap dump. He can still play reasonable minutes, and is still a solid, albeit unspectacular NHLer.
