I was thinking about rights to a couple of my younger prospects, maybe Kotkansalo (3rd in 2017) and Gilmour (7th in 2017). I'm open for ideas... I really just want Foley for the obvious reason... he's the one that will single-handedly turn the Blues franchise around nod

His contract is alright, but it's only for 1 more season and then he'll get a big raise. IF it was a 4 or 5 year deal I'd agree with you, but it's basically 1 and a 4th of a year at this point. Regardless of how good I think his contract is I do like the player and could offer something along with Spooner.

Ah, those blue chippers would be Liljegren and Valimaki... both of which aren't moving for a bundle of lesser parts (probably not moving at all). What about a straight swap of Givani Smith for Erik Foley? Both guys project as bottom six wingers, Smith is from a draft year later which may make sense for you, given that you don't have any holes to fill in your lineup for the next few years...

I have enough cap room now to make a deal for Simmonds without having to include Spooner who you didn't seem to like very much. I think I'm offering something better than Spooner doing this, but how would you feel about Bos 2018 1st for Simmonds?

I am moving Lindholm, but I would make a deal around Rask and one of your center prospects (thinking like Dano) + 2nd 19 + small cap dump to fit Rask under your cap

I have Morin, Chiarot, and Melchiori waiting for Enstrom to retire. Oleksiak doesn't work for me as he would have to clear waivers and I don't have room on my NHL roster for him. I like my guys' long term outlook better as well.
