I like Batherson and Ceci. The guys you mentioned are not enough. Im not looking for quantity over quality here.

Maybe Batherson ... not interested in moving Ceci unless we're getting a RHD back, but your only RHD is Clendeing who i'm not interested in.

yeah it would be late if based on the power rankings but it's not like the player im asking about is really worth a top-10 pick or anything haha. Let me know I guess if interested still. Looking to make a final move or two for the deadline

Well if the entire basis of the formula of the ranking is based on the power ranking, than i know exactly where the pick will be. If there are other factors involved it could potentially be higher. Plus Fischer was drafted 32nd overall so it would be pretty much giving you a sure thing late 1st rounder for a "maybe" late 1st rounder. Whats the point in that?

Yeah Im not giving up a 30 point rookie playing on one of the worst team sin the league unless I gets something good.

Well tat's why I was trying to involve some of the other players in my trade bait board. What about Ceci+Batherson for Fischer+?

ive never been the type of person to round draft picks to their closest round to change perceived value but i guess the idea behind the trade was to give you something like the Hartman return Chicago got. Prospect/1st/4th for Hartman/5th was what they paid but I thought it was a slight overpayment (probably due to being division rivals) which is why i asked if a 1st would start the convo haha. If it doesn't that is fine but I wasn't just throwing out low ball offers. I was trying to see if the first part even interested you before i spent time thinking on a final trade. I mean i know late 1st rounders might not be sexy draft picks but they have value otherwise teams like the Rangers wouldnt collect them for players that have more of a track record of success than Fischer. Just let me know man either way. Just my thought process on how I was viewing Fischer compared to in game value and IRL value.

Yeah no worries, didn't mean it was a low ball value or anything. Just thinking it is kind of a lateral move for me. But then again, that is why i brought up the ranking. It really plays a major factor. If i know for a fact the pick is 31st overall, than i see little reason to make this move. if there is a chance due to how the process is done in the GM game, that it moves up to lets say 23-25th, than Im all of a sudden way more inclined to make the move.

I get what you mean about the draft status thing but honestly it does hold some value, even in the real world so its not completely bogus. After the lottery picks, many teams often go off the board a little with their selections. Calgary did it with Jankowski. Habs did it with Scherbak. So its not a stretch to say a guy that was selected 32nd, and has developed very well since being drafted, wouldn't be worth anywhere from a 20th - 32nd round pick in a year when you lose guarantees that the player Fischer was already giving you.

You obviously think he's worth it to you if you are willing to give a 1st rounder in the first place, right?

Hmm i don't know if their is a fit then man. I have a feeling were both out to get young players and picks and a trade between us is virtually impossible for these types of players.

I think you mistook what I meant, Picks as the main part of the deal, yes. I have no interest in Jaros, Gagne, Ahl, etc.

I want one good piece, not a bunch of lesser pieces.
