Yeah no worries, didn't mean it was a low ball value or anything. Just thinking it is kind of a lateral move for me. But then again, that is why i brought up the ranking. It really plays a major factor. If i know for a fact the pick is 31st overall, than i see little reason to make this move. if there is a chance due to how the process is done in the GM game, that it moves up to lets say 23-25th, than Im all of a sudden way more inclined to make the move.

I get what you mean about the draft status thing but honestly it does hold some value, even in the real world so its not completely bogus. After the lottery picks, many teams often go off the board a little with their selections. Calgary did it with Jankowski. Habs did it with Scherbak. So its not a stretch to say a guy that was selected 32nd, and has developed very well since being drafted, wouldn't be worth anywhere from a 20th - 32nd round pick in a year when you lose guarantees that the player Fischer was already giving you.

You obviously think he's worth it to you if you are willing to give a 1st rounder in the first place, right?

More so the attempt at the end result is worth that price imo. Not the player himself. Let me know if you change your mind before the deadline

That's gonna be hard for us to beat. We'd do Batherson and a 4th probably. You're taking less cap but he's still a prospect, and we know how good Johnson is already. But if you don't want to take much cap, Batherson and a 4th is our offer.

Yeah sorry Raif, Batherson is a decent prospect but Im not sure what Booth is whispering in your ear about him.... If it wasn't for the WJHC this year no one would even know who he is. Im sorry but a single tournament doesn't make the guy a superstar talent. If so what about Nic Petan or Curtis Lazar? Or Luke Adam, Cody Hodgson........ I like Batherson as a nice project but not gonna give up a 20 year old, 32nd OV, good scoring winger on a bad team for a guy who played two weeks of high end hockey.

Only guys I liked were Batherson and Ceci or guys who were on your untouchable list unfortunately.

Don't have an ask per se. Kind of looking at something along these lines though: Prospect + draft pick + Cap dump though.

I don't really have any cap dumps. Was wondering if Marody+ or Twarynski+ would interest you.

No not really. Both them together+ still wouldn't be enough. The cap dump might not have to be added, its actually just because im near the cap floor as is so I would need to take back some salary. Alternatively I can just trade for a pending ufa with high cap for peanuts. Regardless, I'd need better quality prospects or picks for Hjalmarsson. Not crazy studs but better ones. At least IMO. I'll take a look ta what you have and get back to you though.

What are you thinking possibly around Ceci?

Ceci+Batherson for Fischer and maybe something else.

Huh? I'm Taboo's AGM not RAIF's lmao squinty smile

I'd have to think about this.

OK, let me know when you can and I'll hold off offering him elsewhere until I hear form you.
He does help get you up off the cap floor, and it's not like he's a slug by any means.

Also, do you want Condon for a pick? This would be a different deal.

Make an offer! Looking for picks and prospects in any trade I do. (Rebuilding)

For us it would be best to start with someone like Brinkley. Plus a 4th
