Well it probably wouldn't be realistic to trade a guy we just aquired in the offseason. I kinda want to see how he does with the Blues 1st, as well.

You could always hold onto him then flip him later on for an even bigger return. What if I add a mid round pick too?

maatta and hornqvist for Schwartz + ? hornqvist is your right shooting top 6 winger, and maatta is your top 4 LHD

Why does Plekanec scare you? Is it because he wears turtlenecks?

He's a solid defensive center that can put up a few points and rarely misses any games. He also keeps the cap balanced, otherwise I probably wouldn't be able to consider Stastny at all.

2C with 1 year left and a 4W with 1 year left, for a 3C with 1 year left and a long term asset in McCarron.

Lol probably the turtle neck. Stats is the only true C I have. So downgrading, scares me. If it was a patches deal I could move Schwartzy for a C

I thought you were planning on doing that anyway?

Outsider perspective, you have Steen, Fabbri, Sobotka, Schenn, Barbashev, and Berglund when he returns (among others). I wish I had that many options.

Plekanec is a C, so it's a downgrade, but still a more than capable center. McCarron can also play C for what it's worth.

Your call to make, just telling you what I see.

Schenn somewhat. Galchenyuk can play center, but his development at the position was stunted.

He could still catch up given time and become competent, but that requires patience we can no longer afford.
Fabbri will be decent I think. Steen is only a stop gap.

So basically, Stastny is unavailable unless/until you pick up another center?
