So lets break it down..

The first line stays the same if Drouin moves up. Cancel that.

Saad is better than Kreider. And Pav is better than Anderson. Backstrom is the C. This stays even.

Drake and Dan lets say are even. Kadri is better than Kesler. Lets cancel Vrbata out.

Cliff and Bart. I would give the edge to Cliff. Cancel Pag out. Hayden is better than Rust.

Overall, for forwards, its pretty even but I have better depth.

On defense, OEL cancels each other out. Burns obvi better than Larsson. Krug cancels each other out. Werenski and Y. Weber? Lmao. Shea Weber is slow as sh*t and Hamonic did not play well last year. He'll be much better this year with a much much much better team. Thats even. Ellis and Johns, obvi Ellis.

I wouldnt have traded Ellis had he not been gone for 6 months. With him in my lineup, I would have the overall depth, he would have star power because of Burns and Weber. Take Ellis out of his lineup and my D corpse is better.

In net, its the same.


So tell me exactly how his team is better? The only real diff is Pavelski and Burns. My team is faster, younger, and more overall depth on the wings.

Travis Hamonic's hasn't played well for the last 3 years, per Micah Blake McCurdy, a very respected advanced analytics within the hockey community.

My contention is based on what team I want to deploy if I had to bet my life on a game. At the time of DavidBooth's GMing, Ryan Ellis was damn well a top-25 defensemen in the NHL. You never had to trade Ryan Ellis and simply because you did, doesn't serve any relevancy as to which team is better. Comping the team DavidBooth had compared to yours.

The difference between Josh Anderson and Joe Pavelski is not negated or offset by the difference in Chris Kreider and Brandon Saad. DavidBooth gets the advantage there.

Danualt is vastly better than Drake Caggigula, especially if we are basing it off of last season. He had 40 points, compared to 18.

Sven had 18 goals, Clifford had 12 points...; advantage goes to Sven.

OEL and Krug cancel out. So we are left with:

Werenski + Adam Larsson + Travis Hamonic + Stephen Johns vs. Brent Burns + Shea Weber + Ryan Ellis + Yannick Weber
Burns >> Larsson
Weber >> Hamonic
Ellis >>> Johns

Saad doesnt offset Pav.. but he is damn sure better than Kreider. Anderson can hold his own. Im not even talking about offsetting anyone, but just comparing player to player. There is no advantage there at all. Heck, Drouin with Backstrom would be so skilled and dominant.

Why are you comparing Danaults goals to Drakes and same for Sven and Kyle? Thats ignorant. First off, Danault played a lot on the first line, with Patchy and Radulov. Drake had some stints with McDavid too but played mostly on he bottom line. Drake and Kyle arent there to put up points. They are there to shutdown the other teams line. Which Drake is turning into a capable shutdown player. Clifford can roughen stuff up. Again, Svens job is to score, thats not Cliffs role. Even at that, he had 6 less goals than him. Advantage me.

Agree with Burns tips the scale over for defense on his side, Weber is so slow there isnt an advantage. Between him and Hamonic, its tied. Lets compare Werenski and Ellis... Ellis played good all year just brokeout in the playoffs. Werenski was very dominant as a rookie all year and esp.. in the playoffs. Johns is better than Y. Weber making my defense have more depth.

On defense Id give it to Booth only because Burns. Depth wise, without a doubt its me.

They are all "fantasy" teams so here is no reality to them
