Can we get an Ottawa GM-AGM communication page? Assuming Rangers doesn't want to talk off the site

The Boston Bruins are asking the BOG/BOE for the permission to waive the NMC of the following players: Chara, Marchand, Backes.

I am aware of trying to keep the game realistic, but I have had multiple trade offers regarding the following players and having the ability to move them would increase my flexibility in trade negoitiations with out General Managers. In addition, I would like to enter a rebuild path for the Bruins so the following players would be angry if they had to stay.

Yes to Chara; no to Marchand.

If you're gonna rebuild this year, then it's perfectly reasonable for Chara to want to go. Despite being the team captain, there's a very high chance that this will be his last year. It's only natural for him to want to chase a Cup accordingly. There's also precedent for trading a longtime captain to a Cup contender; it happened with Eric Staal, the face of the Hurricanes. And Staal still had much more left in the tank than Chara does now.

As for Marchand, I highly doubt he would give up on the Bruins this early, as he just signed a multi-year extension last winter. He's a face of the franchise, and he wouldn't have signed that extension if he was unhappy. I'd say Marchy demanding a trade now is akin to Jamie Benn demanding a trade last season. If you visibly tear down the team's core, we might revisit this, but as of now, I think the real-life Marchy would prefer to stay in Boston.

Marchand rejected 0-1

Backes I'll abstain from. He's still early into his contract, like Marchand, but he doesn't have the same ties to Boston that Marchy does. I need to think about this one a little more, but for now, I will not cast a vote on it.

It is hard to tear down the teams core when everyone has NMCs (Bergeron, Krejci). Almost 50% of my total team has NMCs.

I was aware, but just saying being able to move even 1 of the longer term contract would allow me to make larger trades. Till then I can only make prospect swaps and 3rd pairing players.

Zdeno Chara: Denied 1-1

He has played in Boston for the past 12 years. He has already won a cup and I don't think he would have any desire to leave Boston in probably the last season of his career. He also has a young family that have been born and raised in Boston. I would be amazed if Boston asked him to waive is NMC and even more amazed if he said yes.

Brad Marchand: Denied 0-2

He recently signed and extension in Boston. He has already won a cup with him and they have a great young core. I see no good reason for Boston to want to trade Marchand or for Marchand to leave the Bruins where he has played his entire career.

David Backes: Approved 1-0

I can definitely see Backes waiving his NMC if there is a rebuild. He doesn't have a huge history in Boston and he is without a cup unlike many of his teammates.

The link above is to the old carolina thread. Make all of the listed trades to get the roster up to date. Also, make sure to copy the players right's list from the description. Do this by making an Armchair GM team with the title: "2017-18 GM Game - Carolina Hurricanes" and keep the salary cap at 75 million.
