Malgin should be higher than Pirri on the depth chart- actually, don't sign the latter. there must be better options

depends on whether Henrik Haapala and/or Maxim Mamin make the team out of camp (or even Jared McCann). Pirri's got familiarity with the current core group of players, so maybe that helps him in that regard.

They just don't seem to know what they want to be. They let two young, top-6 forwards go, along with an ancient, but still somewhat skilled, top-9 40pt guy go as well.

Then they traded a guy who they signed a year ago as a salary dump, when it could easily be argued that he was simply having an adjustment year in a new city, with a new team that fired its coach mid-way through the season and hired a fresh coach to start this year...

I see them finishing 7th in the Atlantic just ahead of Detroit, they're going the wrong way on offense and defense...

Not to mention they have just under $8M tied up in two goalies over the next 3years (and the older guy is there for 5 more)
