I wasn't expecting him to make it either, but I thought he did have a chance given he's filled out a bit and not really undersized like some prospects that come to camp.

As for an offer, I'd be comfortable trading Former 2nd Round Pick Julius Nattinen for Former 2nd Round Pick Matthew Spencer.

don't have any room for him. He would be wasted on my roster with my current forward prospects

              What about Nattinen + Pettersson for Spencer + Howden? That way you give a C / get a C and give a D / get a D?

With Howden having a decent shot of making the roster, I'll pass

He's still got a shot? I thought your team had more forwards than they knew what to do with.... especially at C and given his age, I figured he'd spend most the year if not all of it in the AHL. If he was to be an NHL player this year I would apologize for the low offer as my guys are basically clear cut projects who have potential moving into the future, but aren't instant assets at the NHL level.

There's a few guys that have a better chance then him, but he's close to being ready. Also, he would have to go to Juniors, not AHL

Okay. Nick Bjugstad for Tyler Johnson?

Johnson is better IMO. Would need something else as well.

Top prospect or 2018 1st and 2018 2nd. Bjudstad is not that good and Johnson is a playoff god.

You are asking for way too much buddy. Johnson at best is a 2C. Bjugstad is a 3C right now I'll admit, but still. He played like a great 2C when he wasn't injured. The past two years, he got some unlucky injuries, that delayed his progress. But once he stays healthy (which he will), he will be a solid 2C, RNH type of player. So a 2C, for someone who will become a 2C, and then a 1st and 2nd on top? Way too much

I could add a prospect like Dryden Hunt, and a 2018 4th. That's more than fair for a guy who isn't even in your top 6 as we speak

Phil Kessel is on the 3rd line, so that's an invalid point.

One last counter.... Brian Hart, Cameron Darcy, Erik Condra, Dang Girardi for Barkov 50% retained

I need Sustr to be a part of it, but you offended me by not adding the all star dman in the first place, so for that reason only, I withdraw my offer squinty smile

But Girardi is a Norris candidate and Hart and Darcy only had their contracts terminated IRL because they wanted out to a "better" team

That's not a move that would make sense for me. It would severely weaken my left side.
