why in the hell would a potential top 5 team in the league now and moving forward want to trade away RNH and kris russell this year, and then want to take a bad contracts from greene and kronwall? Especially kronwall. I could see the first trade happening this next offseason, but that second trade especially with the cap issues the oilers are going to face even just dumping RNH off, would put the GM's job on the line.

if you can get rid of russell without retaining all the power to you, but getting galchenyuk in return as the major get is a little concerning, even accounting for cap hit. take awat the pick for sure, maybe even add it from MTLs end. regarding the detroit trade; why? they both suck major ass and ur giving up a 1st a 3rd and a top 5 prospect on our team.

Green put up 36 points in 72 games ON Detroit where as Klef put up 38 in 82 ON Edmonton, were paying the rental price for Green and Benson didn’t even participate in his second Oilers camp because of injury, he’s losing his stock fast. Kronwall is a throw in, he’s old but can excel on a third pairing and mentor our Swedes even more especially while Sekera is out.
