Liked what I saw in training camp. Hard-nosed player who just needs to work on his offence a bit. Good signing.
His offense was actually pretty solid, the one thing I took away from his one pre-season game was strength. Obviously strength comes with time and development, but outside of that I thought the kid looked solid in all 3-zones and against his peers (Buffalo prospect tournament) he was one of the best players on the ice. I think Studnicka ends up being our future Krejci and JFK is our future Bergy. Both play similar styles to each, but I think Studnicka could be better then Krejci when all i said and done.
As his name shows, he will be a STUD eventually. Great job Sweenz!!
"You have a lot of 'studs'. Buchnevich?? DeAngelo?? C'mon man, a stud is someone like Max Domi, or Mitch Marner, or Leon Draisaitl - those guys are 'studs' The guys you call studs are good players, obvious NHL players, but far from 'studs'. Don't overuse the word. It's like 'awesome', what does that even mean anymore? It used to mean 'above elite'!!"
