Easy no from the sabres. Trouba is terrible in his own zone. Risto is more of a complete defenseman with offensive upside. Also on a cheaper contract. This is just ridiculous.

Literally every stat says that Trouba is better in his own zone and better than risto.

Ah a statistical argument, my favorite. Have you ever seen either of them play? Also I'd like to see these statistics. Risto has some of the worst possession stats in the league, but you don't see us trying to trade him or send him down. These stats are also affected by the team as a whole and bylsma's system. He is a top tier dman for the future.

That would not be TRUE, coming from a huge Risto fan... Rasmus is a better offensively but Trouba is a better DMan all around (Kind of comparing Coffey to Bourque)

EDIT: as for the proposal itself... I would not do if I were Buffalo, it's harder to find what Ristolainen brings on the ice than Trouba's type

Duh I watch the games. I watch Risto get his face caved in consistentantly. Why do you think BUF let up the most shots last season? He's not a #1 Dman, and asking a couch to go from worst CF player in the east to a #1 is ludicrous.

So I looked up rate stats for both at 5vs5
    ones Trouba was better: g/60, a/60, p/60, sh/60, iCF/60, iSC/60, Takeaway/60, CA/60, FF/60, SA/60, SCA/60,HDCF/60

ones Risto was better: Giveaway/60, Def.ZoneFO/60

Risto was better on the PP Trouba was better on the PK. Considering how much more you play at 5vs5 seems pretty easy which one has been better. These are just results from the games the 2 players played. I want the player with the better results. Also zone starts, QofT and QofC wasn't much different as Trouba the last 40 games played the heavy mins for Winnipeg. Both teams weren't good defensively.

People that use the argument that he still players in the NHL and plays big minutes is kind of bullshit unless you assume all NHL coaches are good but we know there has been a lot of bad ones over the years.
