Not sure if Stoner has any NHL trade value, since he spend most of his expensive salary in the AHL last year, where he injured. Like your idea of Vegas at least getting an NHL forward in return for McNabb. Vegas needs forwards especially wingers.

NJ would laugh in ur face. Clayton stoner is horrible and Blake speers has the potential to be a scoring second or third line player.

I am curious. If all NHL GMs realize VGK has to waive several (3-4) D men at final roster deadline, why trade for one? Just wait and claim one off waivers for FREE.

Because you might be a GM who has 20+ other GMs who can put the claim in ahead of you. Even worse some of those other GMs could be division rivals.
