Why would the Kings give up Martinez for draft picks especially since they're trying to win now?

Better question: why do the Kings think they’re going to win hardware now? The Oilers, Sharks, Ducks and arguably the Flames are better teams than them, and that’s just within their own division. A rebuild would make a lot of sense for LAK.
