SJ is an aging team that is going through a transition process. WPG have arguably the best top line and that will carry them far. FLA are still a decent team.

What baffles me and a lot of people is ANA missing the playoffs and SJ winning the presidents trophy.

Florida has had a terrible offseason ... San Jose might miss soon, but right away? Winnipeg could make it but their D is a problem at the moment and they're kinda young.
The Presidents' trophy winner is usually an underrated team ... they lost Marleau, but we saw that they can play good together and we've seen them come very high in the standings in recent years. i expect Meier to make the team, and Boedker has to be better ... there's not much expected from them too, which should help.
Anaheim has injuries, and the league's getting faster, the Yotes are getting better, the Kings should be better than last year, and there's just no room for the Ducks in the playoffs.

This is kinda unrelated but there's no need to make a new thread for it, and it's kinda to do with this ... this doesn't need to be all about predictions, so here's a pre-season question ... is this just me or did Wiercioch just get sent down to the minors?

The odds of us getting swept is just as likely as the Isles making the playofs

Can we stop with the "point" predictions. Unless you can do every single game, the math is going to be horridly off.

RAIF, I would like to thank you for placing the Flyers at 77 points, two more than the Colorado Avalanche.

For what it is worth, I have the following as my Stanley Cup Finals:

Minnesota vs. Pittsburgh --> Pittsburgh
