No, he's not. He's not even under an NHL contract with Vegas.

Well that's what I meant, he is an NHL UFA. He brought some scoring and excitement in the pre-season, and this roster is about signing Tyler Ennis who is a bigger commitment for something not that much different.
Sbisa is still getting better to this day, and has stretches where he's great -- I wouldn't fret about getting a good return for him that's useful to Vegas longer than Ennis would be.

The issue is that Vegas had to send down three players who were supposed to be opening night starters in order to skirt the waiver wire. McPhee has backed himself into a corner and risks losing one or more of the defensemen he made a mad dash on during the exp. draft - for NOTHING. I am not saying that Sbisa is not good, or that signing Tyler Ennis is a priority for this team. The only thing I am trying to say is that Vegas needs to free up roster spots and dump some of their defensemen. The return DOES NOT MATTER as long as it is something, any kind of asset they can squeeze from a team. Of course all other 30 teams are making tough roster decisions too, and this is now the hardest part of the NHL season to make complex trades.

If McPhee is forced to send down waiver eligible players such as Reinhart, Merrill, or even McNabb/Miller/Schmidt, THEY WILL BE CLAIMED. He will have lost an expansion player for nothing and look like an idiot. This ArmchairGM team takes care of that important problem.
