I also put him as apossible 3C, and got killed from all these "so called experts" but if Ottawa gets Duchene they probably wont resign Turris after this year. And he mite be the perfect 3rdC there is- Great at F/O, skilled player, kills PK, and defensive responsible.

I could see this if Ottawa doesn't contend for the playoffs this year.
I don't know enough about OTTs G prospects, but Hogberg had a good year in Europe and a rocky start in the AHL last year. if they see him as a future starter, PIT might have to add ZAR. doesn't hurt to have goaltending prospects in your organization either way.. don't think the offer is far off.

Why does he get traded? There are about three upcoming UFAs per teams, So about 90 or so UFAs in the league. Do they all get traded. I think not. We not? Teams like Ottawa and most teams are vying for the playoffs and want to get their team strong. I just don't understand the logic "he is most likely to get traded." Are Pens trading Hornqvist, Reeves, Cole at the deadline because they are upcoming UFAs? Of course the Pens would have to trade Turris after acquiring him, because he is upcoming UFA.

He gets traded because for a team like Ottawa getting something for him is better for the organization then getting nothing if he walks.

Rutherford refused Duchene against Pouliot and a first pick in 2018.I don’t think he would trade Jarry and the first pick in 2018 for Turris and for just one year.Too much again.

Is it? Because last I checked not every team is like Ottawa? But yes your right keep all the UFAs when you have an average team so you can be just garbage when they all walk.

Do you not remember what Vancouver did to Ottawa last year? Traded a UFA that was going to walk for an awesome prospect to put in their system. But hey that was so dumb. What was Vancouver thinking. Should of hung on to Burrows
