I like the Vegas target, but NOT the Montreal trade. We don't need - or want - Gallagher!!

I also don't see the point of trading Slepyshev and Jones without knowing what they have to offer. I could see Slepy playing top-6 on this team THIS YEAR, while Jones has top-4 potential within 2 years.

Gallagher is more of a trade to create competition amongst our wingers for the contracts next season, if Gallagher outperforms Strome, Cagguila and Maroon then no one will get above 3.75. At least that’s my logic

Too much for MTL. The whole point of adding Nuge is so we have a center to feed our wingers. Can't get rid of all of them in one shot for a good but not great center in Nuge. Galch straight up for Nuge is way more realistic.

Need? Ok sure. Want? Come on. You sound like a Caps fan who says they wouldn't want Crosby on his team because he hates the Pens. Gallagher is a good player. Any fan SHOULD want him on their team.

You misunderstand. I don't want Gallagher at that price. For free? Sure! But he doesn't have much value to me thus I wouldn't give up much to get him.
