No money was retained on the Mrazek trade, actual team cap hit is $2,000,000 below what is shown.
DET owns the 2018 7th round pick (DET) since the condition was not met in a trade with CGY in July 2017.
DET was awarded a compensatory 7th round pick for winning the NCAA bracket challenge
*DET has the option to reclaim the pick if it is in the top-3. If DET elects to reclaim the pick, VAN receives the 2019 2nd round pick (DET) and 2020 1st (DET)

Thorburn's the worst, the plus would be removing him from the deal. I do have some stuff in the works for Stafford - the ask would be a lot higher than what he went for last year at TDL (a 6th I think?). I think he's an effective 3rd liner and special teams player. I'd need a replacement winger, and depending on who it is, maybe a late pick / pick swap. I'll take a looksie.

Too many pieces that don't really help me out as I'm building for the future (and too many contracts I think). I'd rather have a 2nd for Mrazek, or I could maybe do something like Mrazek + Schenn for Kinkaid + Cormier (goalie prospect) + 2018 3rd

Ok, I do like that deal. Would you be interested in taking a cap dump like Dalton Prout along with?

I can, assuming that it doesn't change the rest of the deal.

Yup, just like that!!??
Looks good to me. The BOE had mentioned allowing 5 trades in November for some GMs, but I assume that since both of our teams used all 4 October trades, this makes us ineligible. Do you want to keep this one open until December or "lock it in"?

Maybe keep it open unless our plans change since december is a long time away.

Ok sounds good. Don't run out of December trades before December starts lol I know you liked to work fast in November. Good luck!
