Kessel is paid 7mil to be a third line player but sometimes it happens. With this team oilers highest paid players are their best

I think you say Tha because Nurse has developed and taken a step forward early this year. He did same thing last year and regressed after his injuries. On most teams I think Russel is top 4 D given his c consistent play

isn't it just a big hope that the oilers can trade NMC Sekera and Russel so they can get cap space. how does "expansion" affect the cap. the expansion fee is not part of nhl revenues

and now you have no cap space to resign Talbot the year after and if Puljujarvi shows any signs of improvement he'll demand a raise as well, so you can't afford him neither.

As much as I like Maroon as a player, EDM would not be able to afford him at $4mil AAV

And all this is based if the cap really does go to $80mil..
