ONLY way this works is if Galchenyuk is a legit 2/3C. I think he is, and MTL just doesn’t like him. I will say that it seems like AV is fed up with Brendan Smith and I’m not too sure why. Does it look badly though to re-sign him than trade him? Pionk needs to play though

i agree with that-- he's misusing smith on the first pairing. he's a second pairing defenseman. idk if it matters that much since him and miller could be interchangeable at center. i think galchenyuk could have a potential seguin like breakout given the right opportunity (and coach-- if they do this they must get rid of AV)

Actually love this trade. I think it is pretty realistic and solid for both teams. Maybe toss in a 5th rounder for the canadiens.
