I think the Red Wings would love the trade from a value perspective, but I don't know if they'd do it because of RNH's cap hit and the upcoming extensions owed to Larkin, Mantha, and Athanasiou. If Detroit could find someone to take on Ericsson's contract and found a trade partner to give anything of some value for Mrazek, then it is a yes all day.

This trade does not solve the defense issue. They need a playmaker on the backend not another high priced forward. this is what got them in trouble, in the 1st place. Green is not perfect but he is the best d-man on a bad defense.
