To get rid of Ericcson's contract it will take much more than a 5th and 6th rounder. He is a bad player, with a bad contract. You would be looking at at least dealing a 3rd.

this trade is Johnny's baby. overpaid and long term eriksson has no say where he goes.....it's wings, ahl or a buyout.

Ericsson has every say where he goes, In the 2018/2019 season Ericsson has a 19 team no trade list and i'm pretty sure Vegas is on it.

Yes he has a NTC, but if give the choice between playing in the AHL, or playing in the NHL but traded to Vegas, I think Ericsson would waive his NTC to stay in the NHL. Vegas is collecting picks and knows that they are not going to contend in the near future, so taking a bad contract doesn't hurt them since most of their players are on cheap deals. Plus they get more draft picks.
