Blackhawks trade for McD. Artem Anisimov, Gustav Forsling, and a conditional 2019 draft pick...1st if he re-signs...2nd if he doesn't. NYR get the Hawks best D prospect and a conditional 1st round pick. Not too bad? What would you change? Another forward prospect?

well mcD is signed for another year currently.. so there would be no condition in terms of that 1st round pick. we're helping you out in terms of ridding the cap of AA's high contract.

I don't know if AA's contract is truly a burden, but I'd agree with removing the conditional to make it happen.

i'd say a first rounder.. if he picks it up in terms of his actual production maybe an okay prospect or 3rd/4th.
fair comparable for nash has to be eric staal trade that the rangers did which yielded a very good prospect and two 2nd rounders.

don't know if shoshnikov fits the bill of what the rangers want and carrik they don't have much need for with the depth they have defensively in the minors with poink, day, deangelo. would choose the chicago deal posted first.

preferably the rangers can get a young up and comer that's already had some success in the nhl but maybe needs a better team around him to take off.

i don't think so. as much as pach is good, he also has a few years on kreider. kreider i still don't believe has hit his full potential so to add a first rounder to get pach doesn't make much sense to me when in 2 years they could be producing the same numbers... patch is also signed for only one more year after this one so i say sign him as a ufa if you really want him

Good to know, thx, I dont think Kreider will ever produce as much as pach in terms of goals but good to know the value Rangers' fan have of Kreider. Thank you for your answer smile

Oilers might be interested in Grabner. What type of asset are you looking for in return?

yeah that's a perfectly reasonable expectation, he had 27 goals vs the 35 patch had. it's not a drop off worth a first round pick in my opinion.

kreider has had an increase in goals every year and 4 in the past 6 games (not that he'll keep up that pace) so i'm hopeful he'll break the 30 goal threshold soon..

either it's a guarenteed 1st with moore or you change it to a decent prospect. more is a season away from retiring and the rangers need prospects and picks not grizzled veterans that the rangers chose to not re-sign less than two years ago
