Strome can't hold down a job on the worst team in the league - how does he become the Oilers 3C? I could see this as an offseason trade due to cap issues, but to make this mid-season only make the Oilers worse, not better. They don't need the cap space this season thus it's not a good trade from that perspective.

I see where you are coming from but i think it would be wise to give Nuge a chance to play somewhere where he'll have an opportunity to play more minutes because he's a 3rd line center and the fact that playing diminishes the lower you are are on the depth chart i feel like he's been underused in Edmonton and i think it's time for Edmonton to give him a chance to shine elsewhere he'd be an impact player right away with Arizona, as for Strome i believe that Arizona has been under using him and not really giving him an Opportunity to Develop with the team so trading him to Edmonton would help with his Development.

Nugent-Hopkins has been 2C ever since McDavid arrived. Where did you get that he's a 3rd line center and not playing many minutes? He averages 24.09 shifts/game (2nd on the team) and his TOI is up slightly from last year.

I don't Follow the Oilers that Much i'm more of a Sens Fan plus i was reading an Article a while back From Eklund on Hockeybuzz that was talking about Nuge and how the Oilers should trade him so he doesn't have to play in the shadow of Mcdavid and Draisaitl but i've been told that Eklund doesn't know what he's talking about

Nugent-Hopkins is the team leader in goals right now, he looks a lot more assertive offensively while still maintaining a high defensive output.

Not trading one of the few bright spots on this poor Oilers start for what looks to be a stagnating prospect.
