You've overpaid for Galchenyuk in a big way.
Here'a my reasoning:
Strome is fairly close in value to Galchenyuk already, due to the fact that he's a center and Galchenyuk is a winger. I think we can all agree that centers are more valuable than wingers in this league. In career numbers, Galchenyuk is ahead, 0.60 pts/pg vs 0.48 for Strome. NOw lets look at their production since Doug Weight took over as Islanders interim HC January 19 last year, because he put Strome back to center where he is more comfortable. Since then (including his first games in Edmonton, where he has played both wing and center) Strome's boxcars look like this:
43gp, 9-12-21 -7
In his past 43 games, Galchenyuk's boxcars look like this:
43, 10-12-22 -12
Playing on the wing (less defensive responsibility) on a better team, Galchenyuk's numbers are essentially identical to Strome's, except noticeably worse 5x5 play. In this time Strome has endured two coaching changes and one organizational change, both things that take some time to settle into. I'm not arguing that Strome is the better player or even equivalent to Galchenyuk, what I'm saying is that their values aren't as far apart as you seem to think.
Caleb Jones is an A-list prospect who may be ready for NHL duty as soon as next September. Slepyshev has 60+ games of NHL experience and will plug right into Galchenyuk's roster spot. He does best playing with skill, although he's big enough to play a bottom-6 role as well - just don't expect him to produce much offense in this role, as he can't drive a line on his own.
Plus you added a (likely) top-10 pick in one of the deepest drafts this decade.
Wow.
