1Logo of the Anaheim Ducks-Coyotes- win the lottery! With the first overall selection they take a strong offensive D cornerstone for the future in Hughes. This pick could be anyone, but the Yotes see what the NHL is trending towards and take a leap of faith
2Logo of the Arizona Coyotes-Draft Pick ForfeitedSeattle- with a huge win! Seattle is big on the modern scouting, and they know they want a cornerstone piece for the future, I think they skip the Power hype and grab Clarke.
3Logo of the Seattle Kraken-LA- Because of course they win again. LA has the centers, but the kings dont draft on position they have a serious scouting department that knows their stuff and gets their man. They grab Beniers third, going for the serious workhorse to be a future star on their team.
4Logo of the Boston Bruins-Chicago- A year in the gutter, but seeing how far Power has fallen has to make these guys pretty happy they tanked.
5Logo of the Buffalo Sabres-Anaheim- 5th in this year is not so bad. Anaheim loves their swedes, so keep the tradition rolling and get a serious offensive stud.
6Logo of the Calgary Flames-Detroit- Wow another lottery slump, guess they better pray for Wright. They take a D to pair with Seider in the future.
7Logo of the Carolina Hurricanes-Buffalo- Buffalo can see Raty waiting, but knows that it needs to get more wingers to please Jack. Same mistake as last year, although not an awful one this time.
8Logo of the Chicago Blackhawks-Ottawa- Wish I could slide Raty more but the Sens just arent that dumb, they know talent when they see it and a future 1C could be here.
9Logo of the Colorado Avalanche-New Jersey- Really interesting one, I could see them taking a flier on a big Defensive D to shore up the backside.
10Logo of the Columbus Blue Jackets-Vancouver- Honestly the management is a mess. I could see Petey sitting down with Benning and just begging him to get Wall though.
11Logo of the Dallas Stars-Columbus- With the new Laine, center is the #1 priority. They need a talented center and they need him fast.
12Logo of the Detroit Red Wings-San Jose- A meh 50-50 year leads to the sharks not getting a very good pick, but they have great scouting and should be able to find a player here. Eklund has been a serious riser, but who knows if teams buy into it or not. SJ does here

I may be wrong but didn't the league make Arizona forfeit their first round pick this year? Other than that a very interesting mock

Think its the second this year, and the first last year.

Thanks, Im no prospect expert so I do better with rationalizing for teams

I believe it was the 2nd last year and the 1st this year. Due to the fact Arizona's 1st last year had already been traded to New Jersey as part of the Taylor Hall trade.

I know you said the Kings don't draft for position, but this would just be stupid. They've drafted a centre with a top 10 pick 3 years in a row. I believe Power and Edvinsson are both better than Beniers any way, but it's so close, the BPA makes next to no difference this year

Guess it would depend who they like. Personally I dont buy the Power hype and I think Beniers is better
