I think the Devils and maybe Ottawa could trade their first rounders. Devils for sure, in my mock I have them trading it.

I'd have no problem if the Ducks moved either 10 (If all of Savoie, Jiricek and Nemec are gone as expected) or 22 in a package for a solid upgrade. Wouldn't move them both, but it's the perfect time to strike.

Mock trade:

Devils get: Pierre-Luc Dubois, Declan Chisholm, 30th pick, and 2022 2nd round pick
Jets get: 2nd overall pick

Explanation: Devils need two things: a right-side defenseman and a tall, physical winger. They get both of those in this trade. Dubois is a tall gritty power forward who can also play center. Chisholm is a mid-level defensive prospect who at best will become a top 4 defender. He's a left shot who mostly plays on the right side. The picks are included to even the value.
