None of us are scouts or gm's and haven't watched these kids enough to determine what each team sees in the player and what direction the organization is going. Lots can change with the draft lottery, U18, and the combine. However based on draft history and organizational need this is an educated guess on how things may play out

1. Rasmus Dahlin (Detroit Red Wings) (Details: Obvious).
2. Brady Tkachuk (Buffalo Sabres) (Details: Buffalo could really use this pick to bolster defence, however they don't pass up on one of the top 3 fw's available. Svechnikov &amp; Zadina are more dynamic, but with Nylander and Pu as RW prospects already in the system they draft american LW Tkachuk. Showed chemistry with Mittelstadt at WJ's).
3. Andrei Svechnikov (Arizona Coyotes) (Details: Arizona has added depth to their defence prospects the last two draft with Joseph &amp; Chychrun, so they choose the toss up between adding snipers Svechnikov and Zadina to complement their forward group. Elected to go with the Russian).
4. Filip Zadina (Ottawa Senators) (Details: Could stand to add a dman, however elect to choose best player avaliable Zadina).
5. Quinn Hughes (Montreal Canadiens) (Details: Montreal has Weber and Petry on the right side, and their best defensive prospects (Not including Mete who played a full year with Montreal) are Juulsen and Fleury who are also right shot D. Replacing the LHD Sergachev who they traded away the Habs select Hughes).
6. Adam Boqvist (Vancouver Canucks) (Details: Vancouver desperately needs to address their defence in this draft. Boqvist, Bouchard, and Dobson would all be great RHD prospects to add. Vancouver opts for highest offensive ceiling and selects Boqvist).
7. Noah Dobson (Chicago Blackhawks) (Details: Chicago could any which way with this pick. But I think they keep addressing their aging back end and add  Noah Dobson).
8. Evan Bouchard (New York Rangers) (Details: Rangers added 2 forwards in last years draft with Anderson and Chytil. They have 3 first round picks are might package them to move up, or have an idea on who would be available with their later picks. However they opt for RHD Bouchard).
9. Oliver Wahlstrom (Edmonton Oilers) (Details: The Oilers would be choked if 5 d prospects went off the board before their pick. They could stretch and look at Ty Smith, last years first round pick Yamamoto's teammate. Or look to trade back.. but if they keep the pick Wahlstrom in an elite finisher that would look good next to McDavid in a couple of years).
10. Jesperi Kotkaniemi (New York Islanders) (Details: The islanders have 2 of the next 3 picks.. Barring the Hurricanes trading their pick.. Carolina is flush with D, so Smith should still be available at # 12. With the possibility of loosing Tavares they address the middle of the ice with Finn Jesperi Kotkaniemi).
11. Joel Farabee (Carolina Hurricanes) (Details: Carolina needs offence add selects Farabee).
12. Ty Smith (New York Islanders from Calgary Flames) (Details: Islanders add depth to their defence with Smith).
13. Rasmus Kupari (Dallas Stars) (Details: Dallas has a poor track record and has gone off the board at times in the first round over the last 9 drafts. They were gifted Heiskanen thanks to the lottery and Dallas could go anyway with this pick.).
14. Serron Noel (Philadelphia Flyers from St. Louis Blues) (Details: Flyers have two picks in the next 6 spots. They have solid depth up the middle with Patrick, Frost and Rubutsov the last two drafts. Also are flush with d prospects in Sanheim, Morin and Myers. Flyers go off the board and select hulking winger Noel).
15. Bode Wilde (Florida Panthers) (Details: Florida could stand to add depth to their backend. Merkley is an immense talent but I believe he is the player who slides the most in this draft. I think they choose between McIsaac and Wilde. Personal preference for the Panthers and ultimately they opt for the higher ceiling rather then a safer pick and select Wilde).
