Also, Nylander will have a M-NTC.</div></div>
Toronto probably wants to allocate the picks money and prospects to more Defense prospective from a Nylander trade

I'm not too sure Nylander is going to bring a huge haul but I do think it could cost them an established roster player instead of Salo.</div></div>

Ok so lets say Mathews gets 13 million AAV, Samsanov gets 4 Million AAV (generous), Then you have to Sign LILJEGREN at atleast 4 million next year (arb rights). Lastly all of the other forward spots have to be filled because they only have 9 skaters so again tell me how do they sign Nylander

He wouldn’t have to move his family, he has a good relationship with Barzal and he could rebuild his value for a longer term contract next season.
I legitimately wonder if you could get him cheaper, considering he is going to be rehabbing for most of the season, maybe closer to 4 million?</div></div>
I wanted to prorated the contract because mostly likely he will return in December but did not know how to do it .

Doesn't matter if Grzelyck is not worth that contract. He fulfills a need ( zone exits, puck moving) the team desperately needs with supply on the market very low

First Mayfield is unsigned agent, second it would be stupid to trade for Nylander when he is going want a 8.5 million aav contract . You have Wahlstrom for another 4 years at team control that very well can develop into a 30 goal sniper.

Would you still take the risk of Ishanov size over a proven NHLer I would not. Especially given Ishanov Concussion History

Robin Salo: 6,2 190 lbs LHD. He has good agility especially at the blue line. Good at board battles. High IQ offensive player. Has a good wrist shot. Bad: Acceleration and stride needs improvement. Poor at Gap control. Projected to be a 6 - 7 dman at the NHL level but is stuck at the AHL level given the top 6 for the isles.
Ruslan Ishakov : 5,9 165lbs C: Small Center. Really good hands that can put puck in the back of the net. In the AHL put up 17G 34A for 51 points in 60GP Played in the AHL All Star Game

what the playoff lines should be
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>for whatever reason CF always defaults to this order when you're doing an Isles ACGM, guessing they just forgot to swap Sorokin into the #1 spot.
as far as the lines, I think this will be more or less what happens, with Clutterbuck drawing in for Holmstrom and keeping that line together for what's probably their last ride. Holmstrom's the first winger in if someone needs a game.
By default the positions are always sorted by cap hit on the depth chart.
Other than that this is a good team that should be able to be a real PITA to get past. Nobody calls penalties in the playoffs so the abysmal PP isn't going to be as much of a factor, and Sorokin is one of the few goalies in the league capable of absolutely stealing a series.</div></div>

I am not saying that he going to put up the pace he is on now thats unrealistic but is he a top 4 dman can put up points on a team top powerplay absolutely

I just saw Sandin was being shelter the past two season and we needed a puck carrying Dman on the left side to carry the puck out of the zone to replace Leddy/Toews. When I looking at Dunn, Sandin and Chyrunn last offseason

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JaredOfLondon</b></div><div>first off, Toews was putting up elite defensive numebers and comparable offensive numbers to what he did when he got to Colorado.
And yes, the leafs gave Sandin plenty of chances to make the top 4, Rielly and Muzzin had been hurt for large swaths of Sandin's career and he never played well enough to take those minutes. Sandin played well in soft bottom pair minutes and couldnt take that extra step in toronto no matter how many chances he got. Pretending otherwise is revisionist</div></div>
No remember that Toews had Mayfield to shelter Toews from the Defensive responsibilities Toews only showed his defensive capabilities when he was paired with Makar

Nah I always knew Sandin was a top 4 dman that can quaterback a powerplay. I wanted the Isles to offersheet him last season given the chance. I was shocked that the Leafs traded him.

Put up 31 points in his last season but showed good underlying numbers to showcase his potential . The biggest problem with Leafs is they didn't give him the minutes to showcase his ability Sandin was anchor on the third pair playing an average of 16.25 min/game. That falls on your coach and GM. The only time when Sandin had a chance is when everyone else got injured</div></div>
