I know, I've watched every game. I wouldn't neccesarily value Krebs at a 1st right now, despite the fact I do like him it been nearly impossible for him to escape the 4th Line with Buffalo an develop. To me he's nearing reclamation Project.
Also according to Anthony Di Marco---who has good sources with the Flyers and around the league. He asked if a 1st was a fair price for Laughton and 3 execs he asked said yea. So I think they should be able to get this return. Unless Buffalo still values Krebs a lot. Especially with the recent Monahan trade who got a 1st. and in Previous years Barclay Goodrow deal. Laughton has term and is a really well respected leader (GM value that more than average fan do).

(CGY/VAN) - Lindholm for Kuzmenko, Brzustewicz, Jurmo, 2024 1st (VAN), 2024 4th (VAN)
Like this a lot for Calgary, get a first, good prospect, and talented player for a guy who wanted too much money and seems to be falling off. Honestly the biggest win is not paying whatever his next contract is.
For Vancouver I think they paid a fair price, but it was only fair because they put Kuzmenko's value in the toilet. The relationship with Tochett seemed rocky and his confidence was wrecked after being scratched.
I also don't love trades where you trade a 1st+ just to upgrade from a talented player to a talented player.

Comtois isn't a very good NHLer. Saw him in person last year and he was the worst player I think I've ever seen in person in the NHL lol.
He may produce in the AHL, similarly so does Kieffer Bellows. Neither are NHLers.

Philadelphia Flyers signed Owen Tippett (8 Years / $6,200,000 AAV)
This seems fair, depending on how much Tippett improves from here, this could age really well. Tippetts played like a Top 6 player, with a little more consistency he could be a real good top6er. Definitely adds a needed element to the Flyers with his size and speed.

feel this is selling a little low on these 3.
I feel Walker is prob worth a 2nd rn.
Seeler a 3rd - Comp: Braun - Although I rather keep him tbh
Laughton - who knows, he hasn't been great this year but his valued qaulity is his leadership anyway I'd say at least a 2nd

Not a terrible offer for Frost, but he's looked the best he has in a Flyers uniform since New Years. 8 points in last 7 games. And has had good underlying numbers all year despite not having the production.
Hart trade is fair imo, real tough to see him go though.
Edit: I also prefer to keep Frost rather than trade for Novak, and I think Andrae should be given a chance next year rather than trading for a guy who'd take his role. I'd also have Zamula as the 6D instead of Bortuzzo.-- and would probably just keep Seeler.

pretty sure the record is like 8 coaches
There hsa been some surprising ones this year though. Evason, Berube, Woodcroft all would've surprised me before the season.
Could get close to 8 ppl fired, Keefe, Ruff, Sullivan, Quinn all have hottish seats imo.
I'd be shocked and disapointed if Vincent still has a job next year

Dont see how its a replacement
Like Risto improving is interesting but how much is this Torts system</div></div>
my bad I'll stop trolling.
I'd say his improvement is mostly to due with Brad Shaw who fixed his playstyle, Torts culture and system helps though.
He's given up taking himself out of the play to make stupid hits, He plays simple stay at home defensemen, who uses checking as a way to play defense rather than as a fun way to play hockey. Very simple plays with the puck, doesn't force stupid passes, utilizes the boards and teammates well.
Risto is marginally overpaid for his role, but he's a legit #4/5 now imo. Whenever he plays higher in the lineup he's fine typically, doesn't really change how he plays.

fair deal. He's already very good defensively, scores enough for a 3rd line role and could improve as career goes on. 3rd liners are gonna increase in price, See someone like M. Foligno, we'll see more similar contracts as Cap continues to go up. In 2 years this could look like a bargain even if he doesn't develop.

Think the Flyers decide against the long term cap ornament. Especially when Poehling's been solid, and the team already has an excess of forwards. If they spend money on a player it's strictkly for a Center/Dman.

I think the tough choice is coming, The org doesn't sound big on paying goalies from what I've read/heard, and they seem really confident Aleksei Kolosov takes the leap soon, from KHL to NHL. Kinda sucks but I'm not sure Hart is longed for the Flyers

This looks pretty good now I'd say:
Including his slow start this year:
19 GP
.910 Sv%
2.33 GAA
5.3 Goals Saved Above Expected (moneypuck)
11 Wins
3 Shutouts
Excluding his poor start:
16 GP 11-3-2
GAA: 1.87
SV% - .930
Kids pretty good
oh btw this contract starts next year
