<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensibleguy</b></div><div>I don't have a problem trading Pinto, but his value might not be fully apparent. Pinto's going to be a decent, middle6 centre, but it's his value as a salary replacement when he finally arrives in Ottawa that might not be apparent. When Pinto arrives, Ottawa might have cap issues, and Pinto can replace a higher cap centre.
The 28th & 33rd picks are worth about the 12th overall pick
Denis Malgin adds no value to this trade, and actually makes it worse for both sides., Toronto prefers to keep him to help with the cap, and Ottawa doesn't want him.
So removing Malgin, and swapping #28 & #33 for #15, Toronto needs to add to the trade.
Instead you want a top 100 NHL prospect (until 7PM tonight) and you want to dump Andreas Johnsson, who Ottawa really doesn't want even if you added more because of his contract structure.
This is an easy no

Thanks for the comment, what is your thinking on it being worth the 12th overall?
