<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Acegamer</b></div><div>Marchessault is going to be a competitive UFA to get, so you will have to give him some security., and yah last year or two may not work out, but he seems like someone who is just getting better every year. Lindholm's value is lower now, I think 6-7 is the max he gets. And you aren't winning any cups with our current forward group. Look at it this way.

You are "trading" Zacha, Coyle and Ullmark for JG Pageau, Jake Guentzel, Johnathan Marchessault, Elias Lindolm, a 1st, 2nd, and a 3rd. This team would have 4 goal scoring wingers, decent play making centers, and i've recovered all of our lost picks. Why wouldn't you do this?</div></div>

I agree Marchessault could take a contract not far off that in order to acquire. I just think the team that does it will regret it sooner or later. It could well be this year that he falls off, and even with him the Bruins aren't going to be cup favourites right away so buying him for the short term doesn't make a ton of sense with the teams plans.

I also agree Lindholms value dropped from this time last year, but not by that much. Particularly after a strong playoffs, his number still begins with a 7. He's a more sensible target for this team than Marchessault, and you'll need some of that Marchessault money to get him. And then you'll need to fill the spot with a winger with a good value contract - that's where keeping Zacha comes in.

As to Coyle, I think he's better than Pageau at this stage and the money isn't that far off.
