Don’t think Bergy is ready for opening night.
They don’t break up Forbort/Clifton pairing.

Small but big moves
With Mikey Anderson and Sean Durzi to re-sign (giving us 7 defensemen) and 15 forwards under contract already (including the just-re-signed Gabe Vilardi), any trades from this point on will have to be at least cap-neutral and roster-neutral for Los Angeles, and this one is neither. But the team down the road would be interested in that offer.

Will cost more to dump Coyle and Foligno. I think Arizona wants a 1st For Crouse

Maintaining a competitive team until Marchy Mac and Gryz come back
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>l19f9</b></div><div>Explain?</div></div>
Coyle/Debrusk are significantly better than Evan/Milano. And Evan’s contract makes Foligno look like a gem.
For real. Ready.
Trades:
You are not moving Foligno full cap hit. Pipe dream. He has an NTC for half the league and wants a contender. He’ll be a little less selective facing being buried. But nobody wants him. Only 6-8 teams can legitimately take on bad cap and half the league is looking to move it. Moving any cap is not going to be easy at this point. Donny sat on his hands to long. Moving bad will be painful. Likely have to retain to move him at all.
I know you have a boner for Dunn. Give up that fantasy. They are not moving him. Their PP QB, best puck mover, entering his prime, top 3 on their team. Trading him does not make them better. That trade absolutely sucks for them. Puts them over the cap with only 4m in cap space available right now as well, pointless to even try. Coyle still has trade protection and no desire to leave as well.
Nosek is probably 5th max. 6th realistically.
Signings:
Zacha is not giving his prime FA years away for his arb #. Makes no sense. He’ll take that at 1 year and bet on himself. Best bet with term is 4 years at 3.5. He’s not in position of strength to sign long term deal.
Rodrigues should look more like Milano but for 1-3 years. Milano has done nothing to deserve that. Soft and one dimensional . 1 year 2m should be about it. Wasted $. Need to go to 37 and 46.
If you are signing them for 4m total there will be some serious bonus overages carried to next year. Not good. The whole point of moving salary is to pay them more this year so you don’t carry it into next.
There are better d men than Stone still available that can be had for league minimum and not for 3 years.

My ideal for this year
Crouse and Zacha won't sign 7 year deals for that low. Maybe 3. If that gets Chychrun AND Crouse, someone in Arizona is getting fired!! Rodrigeus is an overpay and too long of a term (different co-players could affect his performance) and Milano will want more for a longer term. We're stuck with Coyle and Foligno so you either find a place for them, buy out Foligno or put them both on waivers. I still like the third line of Frederick/Coyle/Smith and think with more time, they can become a great shutdown line with some scoring!! You should also factor in that Marchand, MacAvoy and Gryzleck will miss the first few months which will most likely have a negative impact! As much as I would LOVE this team to start the season with this line-up...it's a pipe dream!!

Stromecoming
Things I like: Milano is a great add but we may need to offer a little more since we won't be the only ones in on him. 3×3 might be more of the ballpark. Bringing is Strome shores up a solid center lineup with Krejci back.
Things I don't like: bringing the rest of the Stromes. Didn't work for Carolina and the Stalls, wouldn't here. Trading Coyle, I don't think we have the means or capacity to get him to move, and honestly I love him as a possible C/RW with other options. Don't wanna trade Smith. Reilly gets us a pick, doesn't cost us one.

Not a bad offer for Schiefele but I'm assuming Winnipeg would want a young center back in the trade. I could see Winnipeg asking for another asset to make it work. Maybe another B prospect and 2nd rounder.

PK Subban brings character to any team he goes too, if im going to be honest. Subban only stinks on the ice because of the team he's on. If he played on a better offensive team, he would be better

How about some less impressive options
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Chopper02</b></div><div>Him and I don't get along much, but he's not wrong on this. Laine wouldn't function well in Cassidy's system and Leddy isn't any better than what Boston has now.</div></div>
Regardless, when you can get a player that cheap, you run with it. Studnicka doesn't merit the hype bruins fans have assigned to him over the past two years, and Wagner is just a cap add. Whoever is picked with that spot will not be as good as Laine.
Fortunately CBJ doesn't consider that for a split second, and I agree that Boston would stay away from him at his realistic value.

The trades look good but Klingberg would for sure be a rental, would rather just have Vaak keep playing since he's proving to be a top 4 D. Can use the pieces in the Klingberg trade for something else or not at all

I'm not sure they are going to get much better for him tbh. I know he has some value but it's not the best. Gio could help improve the Defense and eat up big minutes which might be what they need to get over the hump, for this year.

I don’t think WPG will move Stastny. He’s loved in the room, by the fans, and by the Org, and he’s a great vet leadership type guy. I’d keep him on 1 yr deals at 2m for a couple seasons.
