Well Petry almost certainly blocks that trade, not enough for AZ to take Granlund based off the Bailey trade.
Also in what world does Dumoulin come back at more AAV

Chayka Tulsky tandem
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pensfan21</b></div><div>My point is no one knows for sure. What if he was just saying that as a negotiating tactic to make them think he could walk away? Because it's pretty obvious he wasn't expecting to be fired. What if that motivated him more? I get what you are saying but what they say to the media isn't always 100% fact. Circumstances change. People can change their minds. No one knows if he would take an offer if FSG gave him a good one. Except him. It very well could be true he wants to spend time with family and obviously would commend him for that. All I'm saying is I don't think his comments to the media rule out the possibility entirely.</div></div>
I don’t buy that. He said Toronto or nowhere. That’s the opposite of a negotiation tactic. Also it clearly implies no where was an option.
I mean anything is possible, but that’s a leap

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pensfan21</b></div><div>He wasn't a part of the interview process because he unexpectedly was fired yesterday. He decided to come back to Toronto, but Shannahan canned him after he asked for a raise. He said Toronto or no where, but I think he said that with the assumption that he was able to come back to Toronto if he wanted to. Who knows whether that was a negotiating tactic, he changed his mind after getting fired, or if he meant it. Guess we'll find out soon.</div></div>
I mean I am aware of the situation. He said Toronto or nothing. So looks like nothing. What am I missing. “I don’t want to do that to my family” meaning relocation…
Sounds like he’s not an option, as much as the pundits like the idea.

Broz or Pickering probably the only two with legit value. Maybe Bloomqvist

Pittsburgh move for me would be like Varlamov as backup for 2-2.5 and then go and sign Hill, Korpisalo or trade for Vejmelka. Go cheaper and have options, use assets elsewhere

Some want multiple 1sts but no goalie had ever been traded for that much.
The closest that ever came would be Matt Murray after his 1st full year (with 2 cup wins). He might have gotten a few 1sts but he was 23 and electric at the time.</div></div>
Ya and he went on to be a cap dump they somehow fooled ottawa into paying a 2nd for. Goalies are too unpredictable to pay that much for

well it starts with a first. Second add is nice. They could likely get more but its not too far. Maybe add another prospect or young player. Also depends who is around at that pick

In this you're trading 14 overall (300 points) for 74 overall (26 points). The difference is about 274 points or 17 overall.
Insane</div></div>
"points"
Maybe but looking at costs of cap dumps lately, a 3rd or 4th isn't getting it done.
How about like 14th OA and Petry for like an early 2nd

Poulin looked at least ready for bottom six role, but he also just took half a year off. Not sure he is penciled in right now. I go back and fourth on Fast. Good player but idk if he is a guy I wanna pay/ commit too

doesn't really matter what fans think, the team has not made a statement one way or the other. In general, the public tends to overvalue picks/prospects over roster players. Organizational mandate still appears to be "win now"
for better or worse.

I feel like Chayka specifically has both. Likely they both do as just generally smart guys. It’s not like they arnt going to have a team of veteran pro scouts. That said I can understand the concern
