(NYR/DAL) - Lundkvist for 1st, 4th
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>drizzt</b></div><div>There is no way a former late 1st round pick is worth 1st and 4th pick...Maybe if he would have shown something during those 4 years... I agree that the price seemed high, given that he didn’t show anything in New York to elevate his value above the late 1st round where he was taken, but if he’s already consistently able to play in Dallas’s top 4 with two years left at an entry-level salary, he’s well worth what they paid for him. For the price to be that high, either there must have been other bidders or the Rangers didn’t really want to part with him, so credit good scouting for knowing how high to go.

Why are you trading Gurianov for nothing?

Dallas would match that.
Moving cap wouldn't be this easy either btw. Seattle also have lots of forwards so they're not a good fit for that.

Love this. Wedge was great in his limited showing. Now to sign Oettinger.

Tampa Bay Lightning signed Nicholas Paul (7 Years / $3,150,000 AAV)
People calling this a bad deal because you don’t give term to depth guys. Paul was 6th among forwards in TOI for Tampa in the playoffs. Where are these other depth guys averaging 18+ minutes in the playoffs on a power house team. 7th in team points. Can play the penalty kill and power play. If I tell you those things but don’t attach Paul’s name to it, you wouldn’t think that is a depth guy. As Tampa has to adjust their roster, his role with the team will only grow. I understand the risk some of you are saying but this deal also can be a steal for Tampa. If it starts to go bad towards the end of the contract it is not that outrageous of a cap hit for them to trade/dump him.

Ah yes, the old 1B, 1C tandem. Good thing the Avs score like Stiffler at an underage highschool party.

Normally, a bad trade is followed up by a bad signing.
All done by a single team.
Georgiev is a case in point.
