Thread: Calling out an abuse of power

I want to apologize if I have offended you or anyone on the site by doing this, that was not my intent. I was only trying to remove myself from getting targeted by other users.

My only intent was to learn new things and move forward without getting called out by every user on the forums, I don’t care about ego or anything else. We are all just hockey fan creating our own idea. I have only ever deleted things that I’ve said or I’ve been quoted on.

I know I can’t bring back the works that have been deleted, and can promise not to delete anything that doesn’t break the rules in the future.

First Trade - no needed just draft Carlsson.

Second trade - Calgary wants too much for Lindholm, no trade for him is going through without one of 3rd OA, Johnson, Sillinger, Marchenko or Jiricek, and it’s not worth it to gamble on an extension.

3rd trade - just keep Robinson, he is one of Gaudreau’s best friends and he’s the fastest player on the team, play him in the bottom 6 and let him forecheck like a MF.

I don’t hate this idea tbh. I’d rather trade for Johansen, than Hayes. I doubt we have to add the 2nd to this trade. Johansen is available for a lot cheaper and imo could be a better fit time wise for Columbus, he also has 1 less year than Hayes.

But if im being honest I’d rather not trade for either of them.

Or hear me out, Boqvist for FLA 1st? No 3rd no protection. I’d say Boqvist is worth a late first to early 2nd. He’s only 22 after all and has been improving his defensive game to go along with his good offensive game. I’d just worry about his injury history.

1 year team then welcome to cap hell… because even if the cap goes up by 5 mil almost all of that goes to Lindholm (he better be around if we are trading 3rd OA for him) then you have 6 mil to resign Johnson, Sillinger, Marchenko, Chinakov and replace Bean and Roslovic. Good luck with that.

I don’t disagree, but there are cheaper options like Kuznetsov or Hayes that can fill the same role until Carlsson or Sillinger or Johnson is ready to be the 1c.

Columbus has plenty of cap room to get Werenski off IR and keep Elvis, they just need to be smart and not trade for that horrific Miller contract.

Also Werenski is on IR, not LTIR. On IR the whole contract is against the cap.

Sillinger - honestly shouldn’t be traded, we have yet to see what he truly is, Columbus need to be patient with him and let him actually develop.

Blankenburg - no idea what he really is, played a few games to end the season in 21-22 and played a few games to start the season in 22-23. He showed well playing with Werenski on the top pair, but got hurt early in the year.

So again, we have no idea what either player are and if I’m Columbus I wouldn’t move either of them until you have a clearer understanding of where they are.

Still highly doubtful that happens, jarmo has been agreeing the last few days but he’s moved only pick, not young roster players or prospect. Jarmo wants to be competitive now, but he also wants to stay competitive. Highly doubtful he moves Johnson or Cuelamens for a guy who already has bad blood with a core player on the team and a goalie who is about to majorly overpaid.

Value wise it might be “fair” but I wouldn’t want to touch Miller, that extension is going to age very poorly. If Vancouver wanted to get that kind of return for Miller they should have traded him a year and a half ago.

No, it really doesn’t. Jarmo has gotten aggressive, but he’s only moved draft picks, he hasn’t move any prospects to bring in Proverov or Severson and I don’t think he will, he wants to win now, but he also wants to stay competitive for a while, not just a splash in the pan. I wouldn’t be surprised with jarmo being done for a bit with the big moves, maybe a few smaller ones but nothing major until July 1st.

Too much risk in trading 3rd OA for those two at this point, both have shown that they want to test the market, that being said jarmo wants to win now, so it’s possible. I just wouldn’t trade 3rd OA because they can’t sign an extension until after the draft.
