nah, habs can get much better than 2 3rds lmao prob a conditional 2nd that turns into a 1st or a 1st straight up depending on what goes at tdl

Moves in the Big D
if we dont trade matheson at his peak value its gonna be a josh anderson situation again, there is also gain to be had by trading Matheson now rather than next tdl, less points in standing means we could end up bottom 4 rather than 7th oa. could use the assets to grab a player or a young goalie, we'd have the assets to do so by trading Matheson.

tank for Lindstrom or lotto W in 24 and tank for McQueen in 25, get your 2 top 6 elite players, trade Matheson at tdl cuz Hutson will need playtime and 3rd pair isnt cutting it but can play in laval then up in habs after tdl, get assets to move up or get a goalie via Matheson's picks.
Slaf-Suzuki-Caufield
Lindstrom/Celebrini-McQueen-Dach
need that top 6 tbh

I'd rather have a 40-50 point player who is guaranteed to make the NHL (and plays well both ways) than a late 1st round lottery pick.</div></div>
that lottery pick could end up being a top 2, unless its 1st oa which would be flames, but hope for a top 10, Roger McQueen as a habs would be so good, 6'5 200 atm iirc or something along that. that w Lindstrom in 24 (maybe idk) would be good on the top 6.

Zegras - Suzuki - Caufield
Stamkos - Dach - Slaf</div></div>

so far only Wolf and Wallstedt seem to actually be on the elite path, some are projects though, Pyotr also looks good but is it him or is the canes defense just that good?

What is the best Monahan trade for Habs
I'd just trade Monahan for any 1st at this point, could take a bad contract back that finishes this year if needed, then u could use that 1st to get up in the draft, need high end talent not another 14th overall mid 6, trade the 8th and lets say 24 for a top 5 pick idc lmao
if habs re-sign monahan while he could get a 1st from a contender, i'd say they 4got what a rebuild is, while in a rebuild you want high picks not 9th overalls.

yeah habs wouldnt trade down, they would just send like a 1st and a couple seconds w a prospect like Beck if it came down to it
