Yeah but we have Sid and Malkin up there. I think if one of them gets hurt, I have more confidence in Tierney stepping in to fill the 2C role. Which is great for us

I think its solid for both teams. Pens want an impact player, and Tierney would give them a viable 3C

Ngl, that is quite a lot for a goalie that hasn't even played a full season yet.
I would sign him short term and see how it goes
I would also like the Pens to sign one of Fleury or Lundqvist if a buyout happens. Having a 1A/1B is very good

I think 2.8-3.2 is generous enough considering we still have RFA rights.

LD is crowded for 3-4+ years so POJ really will never get a shot here

Getting the old band back
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>Turris isn't a bad player, it's just his contract that is. He's pretty much immovable right now, unless NSH takes a bath in retained salary and/or assets to in a trade. Best to keep him and play him for now. If he fully rebounds like he's been on track to since Hynes was hired, he'll regain some value. Either a team with injuries or depth issues takes a flyer on him, or possibly Seattle can be convinced to take him.</div></div>
I honestly think he will rebound. No point in moving the guy now especially if you have the cap

Im not the delusional one, this is what 2 penguins media members have stated that they are under the believed that the Pens will have an internal cap of low to mid 70s. If you are mad about that, go talk to them about their reporting</div></div>
A lot of Penguins media is terrible. They are going to move out Hornqvist at the very least but it'll still be closer to mid to high 70s considering they still have 2 of the most expensive players in the league.

They should either get someone who'd be a legit upgrade for the top six, or give prospects like Tolvanen a real chance. McCann would just be a lateral move to maintain mediocrity. Bonino could absolutely be available, but I think NSH would be looking for picks, prospects, or help on the 3rd pair in return.</div></div>
You're right. Also idk what you guys are gonna do with Turris.
But Bonino for picks/prospects is fair

1) Every team is getting an influx of cash from the Seattle expansion
2) The Penguins are spending to the cap if management can show they are competing
3) You are still delusional if you think the Penguins are finishing the season with 10 mil in cap space (Rutherford has also stated he is spending in FA)

you're insane if you think the Penguins are cutting 10 million in salaries.
It'll be high 70s payroll. There's no way they make that work
Secondly, cap space is not payroll. You have to look at actual salaries

Bonino only makes 2.4 mil in actual salary.
High 70s is very reasonable for a team that still wants to compete.
Johnson is a longshot and personally I think hornqvist gets moved no matter what to meet the internal cap

Figured. I like his game and he's a great guy to have on the team. Hornqvist isn't a slouch tho. He's a PP machine who could easily net you 20 goals.
The avs have Timmins, Byram coming up so I'm not sure how long they plan on keeping Johnson

MAF had a .927 first season, a .913. and a .905 the last 2 in Vegas. Not sure how that it is better than Pittsburgh.</div></div>
Personally I think Ottawa is a good place for him. He would be a huge mentor for the younger goalies in their system.

Vegas offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ecupirate07 </b></div><div>1. Only JR thinks Murray is worth a 1st.
2. A 35 year old goalie holds very little value. Add in he has put up not so great numbers the last 2 years and he has even lesser value.
His last 4 seasons, he has averaged a .913 sv percentage, that is inflated by one .927 year, and a 2.64 GAA. Being 35, he is getting ready to fall off the proverbial cliff. Pass on having to give value versus getting paid to take on MAF.</div></div>
Eh idk. You can argue Fleury is better now than he was in Pittsburgh. The cap hit is high but I see no reason why a team desperate for a goalie wouldn't want Fleury.
If Mike Smith keeps getting employed, Fleury is worth that 2nd

Granlund
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>it would be an over reaction. I know its a pretty easy speculation link for Murray to the Avs to fill some air time and articles, but as it stands Avs goalies were good just unhealthy and are still under contract for next season. Murray isnt an upgrade that would justify them to shift the net and eat into valuable cap space
Avs should explore the goalie market for a clear upgrade that fits their price tag but they arent forced to make a move from what we know right now, fully expect both goalies to be healthy to start next season so they arent forced to making a move this offseason</div></div>
I think upgrading your offence would make you an even bigger threat considering you still have loads of cap space.
I like your D and Byram + Timmins coming up is gonna be huge for you guys.

much easier to hide a bad forward over a d man who plays 15 - 18 min a night. And Okposo although on a terrible deal, could still hit 20-35 points

It would make sense tbh.
RD offensive, replacing Schultz. He's just not good defensively but then again in a 3rd pairing role, he would just need to be passable. Unless he's paired with JJ, then that's utter disaster
