I think it's possible. Canes could really use a good goalie and the pick might not be great. He wouldn't generate a first from most teams, but I feel like this is one of the only teams that might.

Players That Have The Potential To Win The Hart IMO

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OkBoomer</b></div><div>Maybe. The one thing that concerns me, and it is not taking away from him, is that he is playing with another Hart Trophy winner. I think that Eichel has a legitimate shot this year because he has absolutely nobody around him.</div></div>
My pick would be Panarin. He led a team without much firepower into the playoff picture (Mika was out for a while). He's also is elite offensively and defensively.

Parayko Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Trevorchef</b></div><div>Tempting for sure. If it were ever on the table I would be in favour of it without a doubt.
I don't think that the Blues have any interest in moving either one of these guys though. Especially with the uncertainty of AP.
This would be one of the few situations where moving Nylander adds up IMO.
Yeah, I've been thinking about this kind of trade for a bit and the Blues probably wouldn't d it, especially not with the probability of Pietragelo leaving. The fact that they're getting younger forwards with term back the other way is a positive, but Dermott or Liljegren would almost definitely need to be added in some way to for them to consider it.
As it stands at present, the Blues probably say no.</div></div>

Yeah, they don't absolutely need more top-six forwards but I think they could use younger guys with term on their contract. Johnsson could end up being better than Perron is now and he still has a ton of potential. Willy would make their top-six stacked. A guy like Dermott or Liljegren could be integrated in some way because if they lose Pietrangelo (and in this case, Parayko) they could use young defenceman.

I feel like a solid prospect and some picks would have to be added to get Jones. He's so important to the Jackets. I'm not sure about Faksa's value, but I feel like we wouldn't have to add too much. Maybe a couple picks.

As you mentioned, a lot would need to be added on the Leafs side for the Jones trade and maybe the Faksa trade but the idea is a good one that would help the team. I also like Cirelli and I'm hoping that kind of offer sheet would work because he would be a great addition.

Canada A Team 2019-2020
A much better team than a lot of those Canada teams, but I don't think Price is the starter anymore. Binnington ahead of him and maybe Hart (coming from a guy that loves Price)

It's too bad because they have such a stacked top six and yet such an awful bottom-six compared to other countries. I would say that Dadonov should be on the third or fourth line though.

I'd argue that Rask, Hellebuyck Binnington, Bishop and maybeGibson are better goalies. And that Mark Stone is better than Stamkos.
But solid team overall.

Even though the goal of the trade is to dump cap to sign Gudas, you could still probably get more for two forwards with really high potential.

Refusing to Sell Low
With maybe minor changes (picks or prospects added on certain sides), this could be a really helpful deal for both teams. Kapanen would be a great addition for the Oilers who would love speedy wingers to play with Mcdavid or Drai. and the Leafs would love a guy like Bear. I do think they would want more for Bear as he was a great player this year and was probably their best defenceman.

Better team
Ellis would be a huge upgrade on that right side and I really like this top-four D as well as the big roster. I'm also surprised by how little was given up in terms of offence. Yeah, Marner is important but I feel like Toffoli, Jarncrok and Vlad could be solid options. I do like the idea of going bigger for that defenceman, even if it means sacrificing offence.

Team Canada 23 man roster
I don't that's the best goalie duo we have. They've both been some of my favourite goalies for a while, but Binnington and Hart probably deserve it more over them. I'd also take Makar or Spurgeon over Doughty and maybe Burns or Chabot,
Still a better team then a lot of the attempts at this lineup.

Still working out the kinks in my roster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafs_and_Sens_Fan</b></div><div>The Leafs overpay in all these trades...
Calgary would have to retain half on Bennett for the Leafs to even think about doing this trade. Maybe Bennett half retained and a 3rd round pick for Johnsson.
Dermott is severely undervalued. I'd keep him for at least another season to boost his value.
Engvall is just straight up better than Jaros.
Demelo is probably looking for 3.5M for 3 years. For some reason people are really high on him on this site. He's similar to Justin Holl... not worth over 4M...</div></div>
I agree that people tend to undervalue Dermott. The guy was a highly rated first-round pick that's had a solid start to his career. Even though his production wasn't great this year he was put in a difficult position with the injuries on the back end and with a ton of D-partners. A lot of teams would love to have his rights and he could be a solid player. I'd be happy to keep him unless we find a good trade.

I think you get more than a fourth along with Erikkson Ek. He's solid, but Dermott and Kerfoot combined are worth a lot more than him.

just wanted a cheap winger to replace Johnsson. He's a solid, bottom-six guy that doesn't make much. For anyone who wants to cut cap but get a solid player, he's good option.

Goalie and D Upgrade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>in truth anderson is not a bad goalie. I dont see the need for lehner. Anderson finally got a good backup since McELHINNEY. On top of that the reason he had bad numbers this year, our defense got worse. He has been the mvp through multiple games and has good relations with the majority of the team so I see him staying till he is a UFA. who knows he and campbell could be top 10 goalie duo next season if campbell can get into his 2018-2019 numbers. even if he cant his current numbers have not been that bad.</div></div>
I agree that people are overreacting and that he is a very good goalie. One season doesn't define what kind of goalie he is and our defence has been awful. I definitely don't want to see him go. I just wanted to see what I could do to get a guy like Lehner and use Freddy to acquire a piece from a team that needs goaltending. Overall though, I completely agree with what you're saying.

That was honestly a mistake. Was focused on d pairings and forgot to organize the bottom six. Labanc was supposed to be on the second line and Anderson on the third. Cliff on the fourth.
