I mean Kane has been pretty poop this year ngl. And imma Kane fanboy. Frustrating to watch. Sure the return seems smaller than I want by a lot considering what teams would pay but he hasn't played like a top 5 wing at all this year.

Shoot I thought he was a bit younger than that. I did not realize he would be 35 next month.

Saad Change of Scenery
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Orionus</b></div><div>Saad for Strome+ makes no sense for the Hawks. Saad may be struggling, but he's the better player on a more sustainable contract. The slump is seriously concerning, but a team like the Hawks doesn't sell low.
If the Hawks were to move Saad (which I doubt they would), it would be for a top 4 LHD plus a wing prospect.
Think Saad to NSH for Ekholm + a low end prospect, with a pick thrown in on the Hawks end.</div></div>
I don't think he gets Ekholm but Saad would get more value then this.

Really surprised to see you still have Schmaltz at #20 especially when he put up one of the best defensive inputs out of every center last season.

Nylander for Panarin
In what world does Nylander hold more value then Panarin???? In his lowest scoring season at 74 points is still more then Nylander's two 61 point years by 13 and he had 82 points last year. Thats a good 21 point difference.

Well at least Kukilov and Perrault's contract contracts will expire within the next two seasons. Byfulien will probably be due for a discount considering his age too.

Yeah someone will be moved. That is all really in the next offseason. As I said Phaneuf is a possible one especially with Ottawa retaining some cap.

Dumpster Fire
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Eli</b></div><div>If I'm the Sens, I accept the first trade, immediately.
I think the Wild are happy to upgrade for the whole season. Ottawa is happy to have a whole season to develop young talent and showcase other guys for trades.
Maybe they flip Nino. Who knows.
Duchene is worth more than a 1st round pick from a playoff team. Duchene plus a third for a first and a sixth? Twenty confident, non-lottery teams will take that, and find a way to work with the cap hit.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bluejackets2000</b></div><div>Duchene is a 1C/2C. Stone is a winger. How exactly do you come up with the values for each above? Seems way low for Duchene.</div></div>
Its well known that Duchene hates being on a losing team. It's like with the Evander Kane deal, try to find the best out of a lack of leverage.

It's likely they'll negotiate the extensions while trade talks are going on such as Ottawa giving permission to talk extension.

More or less because they already have a good defense in Carolina. Stockpile for the future and getting Cormie can pay its dividends.
