Similarities - Neither player is asked to play any defense. They're both pure offensive minded players. Believe it or not...Kane's played almost twice as much PK time in the past 3 years than Malkin. I didn't think it was possible to play less PK time than Kane, but Malkin found a way.

All in all...I don't see Kane retiring any time soon and thus he'll keep piling up the stats, but I could see Malkin deciding maybe he'd go to Russia or maybe he'd just retire because he can't stay healthy. For two purely offesnive minded players it'll be about stats and Kane will ultimately have more when it's all said and done. Just one man's opinion.</div></div>

Yeah I agree. Neither of them play defence, which is fine given how much offence they generate. I definitely think Kane will have a longer career. Malkin’s plays like a power forward, he likes to hit &amp; make contact. Given the wear &amp; tear of his style, I think he’s only got a few years left.

Yeah it’s basically the same team but at least they have enough space to resign Andersen in 2021.

TBH, Marner and his camp did not take advantage of what could’ve been a really good situation. If he settled for 9 million dollars, he would’ve been loved by all the fans &amp; considered a hometown hero. But since he squeezed the GM for every last penny, he put himself in a really toxic environment in which the fans make him the scapegoat &amp; there is a lot more unnecessary pressure. You can tell that he’s lost all his confidence by watching him play, he’s extremely disengaged &amp; makes lots of mental mistakes.

And I'd take some issue putting Jumbo on team grit instead of skill. He's the greatest passer of all-time in my (biased) opinion, and that takes skill as objectively one of the all-time greats in that category, statistically speaking.

I think what you're saying is that it takes a blend of skill and grit, usually skill on the top lines with gritty bottom lines, and even those gritty bottom lines need skill but I think what you're trying to say is that they need to be skilled AND heavy in the bottom lines.</div></div>

Yeah I was debating whether or not Joe should be on team skill. He definitely has enough talent, arguably more than half the guys on there. However, he’s also a huge guy who racks up a ton of penalty minutes, is a beast on the forecheck and really good defensively. So I felt I should put him on Team Grit to give them more weapons.
