i would do this. enough waiting for the jackets. This would be a great time to start a competitive window adding a player like that instead of waiting for *another* prospect in an already top 3 prospect pool. and getting the first as well. move down 10 spots and get suzuki? yes please. he's a great play driver with lots of confidence, but that's about it for his center abilities. Still a defensive liability, and it comes with having to block/face a lot more incoming shots. We don't need him getting hurt more than he already does

even with the caufield friendship I doubt Zegras would want to play in Canada, let alone Montreal. That would be a media nightmare, they would eat him up about mistakes, and he wouldn't sit quietly and take it. He hasn't faced much scrutiny in a rebuilding playoffless Anaheim, but lets not forget the player he was during the WJC. That personality hasn't left him, there just hasn't been a time in the NHL to bring it out of him again
