Flames fans are crazy man
I think you are having a hard time distinguishing between people not liking the idea and just not liking you. I think a lot of people just constantly see you constantly everywhere (5 armchair gm's before 11am today, none with a a constructive thought) contributing nothing other than "flames decline" "leafs accept" "leafs decline" so on so on so on, and just think hey, this guy sucks, doesn't have a thought bouncing between his ears and crys like a **** at any hint of critisism. You also can't answer simple questions most of the time, throw a tantrum, disappear and pad your echo chamber with the ignore list at the slightest inconvenience.
Regarding the Klingberg part of your trade IT DOESN"T MAKE SENSE. Tanev is better than Zadorov, why would Calgary maximize value on Zadorov as opposed to Tanev with retention? The Flames should get a late 1st for Tanev @ 50%, make that the post and no one bats an eye, when you start saying things like "flip Klingberg" you lose everyone because that just doesn't happen. You also suggested that Klingberg got a couple prospects last year when he got a 33 year old German League player, so you can pretty quickly figure out why no one give you any credibility.
You're extraordinarily sensitive and refuse to take no for an answer on something that is a horrid idea. You are a petulant child.

Knies isn’t worth Lindholm 50% retained and you have to pay a) for retention on Tanev and b) to dump Klingberg

Also off topic but its nice seeing another Senjougahara fan on this site lmao</div></div>
My issues with you disappear with that last comment. Pelletier is god tier prospect now.
But I see what you are getting at, I just think Vancouver would want a roster spot that isn't mostly dead weight, in a trade involving their pieces. Granted Pelletier will be a roster player for a team in a year at the lastest, I just think the Canucks have better suitors for Garland if the rumor mill is that he's one of our expendables.

This trade is nonsensical: Lindholm is a top line center (on most teams). He put up over 80pts last year, and was a Selke runner up: Compher is a 3C, at 27 (so about 1 year from the wrong side of the bell curve). 2 declining mid tier prospects, a late 1st and 2nd. If Calgary was going to sell the farm to tank, it wouldnt be with this trade. The number of teams who would want a top line center (or even a 2C) could easily offer a young roster player with upside, a bluechip prospect, and a 1st.

The leverage they have is that multiple teams will be interested. If your offer can be beat, they're taking the other offer.

I like McTavish but 3OA is a little high I think. He should go in the 7-12 range. I could be wrong and he could turn out as the best player from the draft but I think there are a few better forwards. If we trade down (I don't think so but who knows) I'd take him. But I really like Eklund and a Top 6 with Comtois and Eklund on LW would be really good.

Just because we wont trade you Tkachuk and 3 1sts for him doesn't mean we are going to deny everything. This is exactly the same as last year, Toronto goes out in round 1 and every leafs fan tries to trade Marner for Tkachuk (usually Tkachuk+) then gets mad when Flames fans dont want to trade Tkachuk or acquire Marner. It's not Flames fans starting the proposals so stop getting mad at us

I still completely disagree, it's absolutely zero coincidence that the Leafs signed Tavares two years ago. The only thing Nylander is better at is being right handed.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Copenhagen</b></div><div>Nylander for Tkachuk is pretty close and that guy wants to go you a first and a 2nd and Dermott.</div></div>
How is it close?
Calgary gets worse defensively, they get way easier to paly against, they lose almost 0.1 PPG, Tkachuk has more goals and assist than Nylander in less games, nearly every possession stat favours Tkachuk. Nylander is older and a UFA at the end of his deal, Tkachuk has the ability to be under team control for 9 more years, they're getting paid nearly the same right now.
Dermott wouldn't play.. and your not replacing Valimaki, Hanifin or Giordano for him, his deal is up at the end of the year and the Flames have prospects at LD that can slide in at a minumum deal behind Hanifin Valimaki, the 1st is next year and likely between 26-32, that doesn't help a team looking for impact players now, that leaves the Flames with another mediocre prospect that probably slides into a middle 6.

PLD coming
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ansabch12</b></div><div>For starters, "way bigger" is just flat out wrong its close enough that this would be a starting point for a deal. Monahan has 3 years left at 6.3 mil while entering his prime and Dubois has a higher ceiling but is only signed for 2 years. Dubois' career high in points is 61 points while Monahan has put up 82 pts in 78 games. Now I understand that Monahan doesnt command the same value as Dubois but I think people especially on this site underestimate Monahan, after 1 down year in a season where we had a major coaching scandal and a pandemic that shut down the season. Every year Monahan has gotten better and has put up 20+ goals every season since he was a rookie. The difference between the two isn't so large that the Flames would throw in a blue chip prospect, but it is large enough to warrant a 1st round pick and a solid prospect like Zavgorodny and a good young defenceman like Kylington.</div></div>
Pretty good breakdown of your thought process and I agree on this.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ryancnbb</b></div><div>partly true but ya PLD has one less year but he is an RFA and Monahan isn't.</div></div>
CBJ will have plenty of opportunities to resign him in the span of his contract.

The only thing in this sentence that was actually correct was Carlo is cheaper than Hanifin.
Carlo is 2 months older than Hanifin and is about on par with Hanifin skill wise. Carlo is a lot better defensively but much worse offensively.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ansabch12</b></div><div>I think if anyone was watching the last series against Dallas you could see that he was playing as hard as he could, any reasonable Flames fan would not place the loss squarely on him. Not to mention we lost to the Western conference champs while being one goal away from a 3-1 lead. It's hard to count last year for his value mostly because of the turbulent season the Flames had with the sudden coaching change and the line shifting. I think this year is the final test for this core, alot of people assume the Flames want to move on from him but its mostly just rumors with little to no evidence. This year we've bolstered our depth, gotten a top 10 goalie, and we have one of our best young defencemen playing healthy. If he doesn't perform this year or if were nowhere near the playoffs by the deadline then for sure we would be interested in the kind of deal you're offering.</div></div>
That also lines up with the little I know. Its really difficult to understand why you would move on from him and like you said, they made some good moves.
