Gardiner Rumors and more
I would adjust your D pairings as such so that there is a more responsible D on each pairing.
Keith - Jokiharju
Gardiner - Murphy
Murray - Seabrook

Buffalo Trade
Let me unravel the back ground to this trade. 28th OA and Guhle for Montour, then Montour for Saad and 43rd OA. By coincidence the difference between the 43rd and 28th is just about the same as 43rd OA. So to completely decode the trade it is an early 2nd and Guhle for Saad.
Then going back in history, as I evaluate this trade, my mind is reminded that Saad was acquired for Panarin (we all know it was a bad trade). So as I contemplate this trade, I am bemused that it would be categorically rejected by Sabre fans. Buffalo is looking for a top 6 winger, this trade seems to solve that problem for about the same value that was used to acquire Skinner. It would be remarkable to obtain between 60 and 70 goals per year for 2 seconds and 2 low value prospects.
To all of the Chicago contributors, I think I made my case that this trade greatly favors the Sabres.

Saad is still young (26) and for some dumb reason gets a bad wrap because he had one weak season in 2017-18.</div></div>

Trade with TBL
You'd definitely have to throw in a pick with Murray for Tampa to accept IMO, and maybe retain a 500K more

Vegas Trade

This isn’t true at all. Miller is all but gone, but not sure that those players and a 4th get the deal done for a good top 6 RHD man

Trade w Pens amp Bolts
HARD pass on that Maatta trade. I'm fine with trading Forsling, but a 4th...maybe. Certainly not a 2nd or Hayden. He's not with $4M and if PIT wants to get more cap space...make them earn it. Don't just give them free stuff.

Tweaks
I don't want Letang. A.) it's too much money spent on the D core in it's entirety. B.) He was pretty healthy this year and still missed almost a quarter of the season. C.) it puts Murphy off handed which we saw affected his play a year ago. It's just not a good fit. Letang got 56 points...Gus got 60 and costs $1.2M. I'll ride with Gus over Letang...keep my 2nd & the $6M in cap...not to mention that 2nd pair plays zero defense between the two.

3-way w/ TBL and OTT
I read Justin Lowe's article as well. I can see why OTT would do this trade. Melnyk saves $6.75M on Zach Smith and can gain some stability on the back end while Chabot and most likely Cal Foote take time to develop more. I would tend to think TBL will trade Callahan first, but maybe other teams are asking too much? While trading Stralman positionally works out pretty nicely, he's still a nice Dman that I don't think they want to trade him away for this little. It would be TBL's plan C or plan D in my opinion.

Draft Week
JVR will want 5-7 years and will get it.
I'd pass on De Haan...too risky and his cost is inflated. Get Hickey or John Moore for $600K less.
Take out the 3rd pick coming back from Car.
Move Oesterle as part of one of the deals above and bring up Forsling as the 7th D swingman.
Overall pretty good!
