Scoring is obviously spread out, and all three lines have a strong play driver or two on it. If Benson does make it, it gives you a ton of flexibility with the Lines and with Tuch to move him.

The defense pairs have a lot more depth and each of the top three pairs have a strong defenseman with Dahlin, Power, and Samuelsson. My guess is that there won’t necessarily be a true bottom pair per se, but all 6 guys will see a fair amount of ice time.

I think they want to reduce the minutes of Samuelsson and keep Johnson’s minutes managed to keep them healthy and available. So maybe Sammy goes from playing 22 to 18-19 and will probably be out there with the veteran Erik Johnson in situations that need a shutdown D. So it’s not like they will be reduced to 15 minutes in a third pair role.

Victor Olafsson is the obvious sub in for Quinn, and I think he is traded as soon as he returns, I still think he will be a damper on that line, and I’m not thrilled about Jokiharju remaining with Power

Krebs also continues his incredible mentorship program from Girgensons and Okposo, but I hope he can eventually rise up a line and get a shot to play with more skilled linemates. But that will require Mitts or Cozens to move to wing as Krebs cannot play wing effectively.

I also have a hard time finding room in the lineup for Patrick Kane, unless either Greenway tanks, which I don’t think he will or if they plan on moving Quinn for a defenseman.</div></div>

Kane will replace Benson, unless he shows well enough to stay for the entire season.
