Trade Deadline Mindset
Someone needs to work with Dach and break his soft play. He needs to start getting aggressive and forcing turnovers. .. and how to win face-offs. The talent is there.
Strome has improved his 2-way game, face-off percentage and worked on his complete game on where to be on the ice... which turns into better ice opportunities and the points are adding up because of it.

Your value for Hagel is Robertson + 1st, ok, that's pretty ballpark range. You value for Flower is Mrazek and a 4th. Hawks and Flower easily decline.

They don’t have “low value” especially kubalik the price for him starts with a first and a prospect. You might get strome in a hockey deal for debrusk

920% since November in front of a god awful defense....again if you'd watch him play game in and game out you'd see he's still elite. IF and it's a big IF he's willing to be traded we're not trading him for peanuts. We'll keep him for everything else he brings to the organization and maybe even resign him. Just because he has a defecto no trade don't mean we're not getting full value for him. Pay the price if you want the goods

This is a dumb debate lol. Obviously Chicago is asking for more then what he's worth, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO REASON TO MOVE HIM. There is nothing more to it. We can compare him to Bunting, Coleman, etc. all day but Chicago is asking for more then the Leafs would be willing to give up, which is fine, as it would be great to have him, but he's doesn't take care of the Leaf's needs.

We're not giving you Hagel unless Knies is involved. I don't care if you don't value him at that. We value him more than you do. You don't like it? Too bad so sad, cry about it.

The Answer v2
Im not high on Yama and Samurokov hold limited value in this proposal if any. For me I would decline based on this as we are targeting a 1st + top prospect if Hagel is to be moved (I hope he isn't). I would want Bourgault + 1st for Hagel TBH. Yes thats huge and more than what he is worth but thats how much hawks don't want to move Hagel.

Kessel Hagel and Caleb Jones
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jrkane88</b></div><div>if hawks trade hagel its for a top prospect suzuki has the permanent blind spot and drury is already 22 hagel is only 23 and is much better then both plus that first will be late and martinook and stephan are cap dumps to the hawks, theyd want top prospects younger then 21</div></div>
I'd advise no team trade for Hagel because THAT team would have to yield to the Hawks demands. The Hawks have no reason to trade him. I truly do know how good Morrow is. It would require Morrow and a 1st to get Hagel. Dead serious about that too. Hagel is 23 and currently the #1LW. #1LW doesn't mean better than Debrincat at all. But
Kaner has said...he's the exactly what the Hawks need more of if they want to get better. He costs $1.5M for 3 playoff runs. AND then he's an RFA.
Seravalli has reported that four different teams have offered a 1st and an A prospect. The Hawks said no to all four teams. Then after that...Hagel goes out and gets a hat trick.

I'd prefer to go with MANY of the UFAs over Mrazek regardless of contract. But when you add it that $3.8M contract for a pure backup...MAYBE if you sent a 1st with him. Certainly not paying anything for him. That's ridiculous.

Quick Retool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Beetlejuice</b></div><div>I get Kubalik is having a down year, but Chicago shouldn't sell that low on him.</div></div>
I agree. The year Kubalik is having is beneficial if the hawks want to resign him. We won’t be giving him the massive contract that was once expected and can now be kept at a low price. If he has any sort of bounce back it could be a huge win.
I would much rather have Stillman in the lineup than Mitchell. Brings physicality and the willingness to fight that this team lacks much of. Before his injury, Stillman was playing some really good hockey.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MauriceArthur15</b></div><div>Top tier prospects like Robertson, Niemela, and Knies don’t get moved as often as people have you believe on this site.
As for what Chi GM said about how moving Hagel needs to be an overpay, so did Vegas with Eichel and every other GM who had assets other teams were interested in.
They’re getting a lot from Thai trade and easily start getting quality and quantity of prospects for a proper rebuild.</div></div>
Hagel is worth a top prospect because his contract is so valuable a top 6 forward making 1.5 millon for another 2 years is amazing value along with him only being 23 years old he could grow to become even better
