True and I could see Nils in that trade as well but not Kakko. No team’s gunna give up that much for a player with struggles

How? Tied up with so many contracts especially big contracts on D. Buch is near that same level of skill and has 1 year left on a cheap 3m deal that gives Tampa time to figure their situation out and get an extra pick in an already great draft. Serg and Cirelli are the odd men out this offseason. Someones gunna go and why not him?

There is no way the New York Rangers trade the 1st overall pick for anything like the trade you showed. They’re not trading the pick. The return from that is going to be too hard to give

From what I heard NY is gunna offer sheet him so at that point youre gunna potentially lose him for nothing. With all that congestion down the middle I really think they try to send Cirelli off. I was hearing for the 24th overall pick but what would the other parts be? I think NYR is going to really push for him

Deadline Deals
Kreider has shown elite potential and is currently in his prime. He’s a difference maker on the Ice and is gunna probably break 60+ points this season. For the best rental on the market, someone’s gunna pay a 1st and a high end prospect. For the Islanders, they’re divisional rivals so if the deal gets done, there’s going to be a massive return for the Rangers. If Kreider gets dealt, I can guarantee you it will be similar to one of those deals.

Panarin and Kakko to NYR Trades with COL EDM TOR WSH
To be honest I like Burakovsky and Kapanen but I think the Rangers have too many young wingers on the come up to be acquiring wingers. Kravtsov was a top 10 overall rated prospect mid season so I doubt he’s on the fourth line. Chytil is definitely going to be either 2 or 3C. Lias could fight for that spot but I think another year in the AHL/3rd line Center would be more realistic

Rangers rebuild lines
There is no shot that Chytil and Kravtsov play on the fourth line opening night. Fox is 100% making the team and not as a scratch. Igor is not being scratched either... the deals are okay. Deangelo will most likely get a bridge though. Too risky for long term

TOR WPG OTT
The return from Ottawa and Winnipeg are bad. Vlad is a solid two way player that can play anywhere in the lineup and score 40+. Trouba is just about equal to value to Kreider so it doesn’t make much sense to add so much. The rangers do not want Kadri... no way.

Realistic
I gotta be honest. 8 years with that money is too long. I think max for Panarin is 6 at his age. Deangelo is getting way too long. He’s got talent but you take a huge risk with his off ice issues. Buch is getting way too little. Has to be in the 4-6 range. I’m not sure EDM wants to give up Yamamoto this early. I think if anything works it’s our 1st Kreider for their first. I also would like to believe they go for trouba in the Namestnikov trade not picks. I get the more picks the better but depending on how good we are next season, management might want to just go all in. We have great guys in the system. Also I’m positive Miller is staying another year in Wisconsin and Lunkvist is staying another year too

Yes but I think he’s the best player around 20th. I see a lot of Mock drafts taking centers but we have so many young centers that i’d Rather take something different

It would not make sense to make a trade for a player like Parayko, because of the assets it would take to get him. Instead, let the Rangers finished near the end of the standings for the next few years so that they can build up their own picks into prospects and hopefully into some starts, or at minimum, quality and serviceable NHL players.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_K</b></div><div>Shutdown right defenseman good for 30-40 pts vs middle six centerman good for 40-50 pts? I think the gap in value there is much greater than a 2nd round pick. Parayko is an untouchable piece of the Blues core - Namestnikov was just traded away in the midst of the TBL cup run. In terms of value, it would take at least Zibanejad for Parayko (not saying it would happen).</div></div>

Next season
So a few things:
1) with the cap rising this offseason you have to raise the $ amount on some of these players. Skjei for instance should get 4.75-5.75. Good term with him though.
2) Namestnikov should get a shorter contract due to his slow start with NY. I think the smarter move is 1-2 years aav of 3.5-4.5.
3) I think the Draisitl trade works because Edmonton could seriously use the depth but idk if both Hayes (potential 1-2 C 40-60 points), Zucc (solid two way, team player, 50-65 point, top 6 guy) and two high round 1st would be reasonable. You’re overpaying in that scenario. I would think Hayes, one 1st round pick and maybe a decent prospect/3rd line deth player gets this done in the eyes of Gorton.
4) I like your lines but I would think the perfect lines would be:
20-93-36
IK-LD-89
72-90-RS
26-50-JF

I think the same too! Guys that had down years are very determined to come back better than ever and a lot of the young guys stepped up pretty well. That top 10 draft pick could be NHL ready to add some help plus Kovy is going to be solid. If they end up snatching a good young defenseman (kinda like brady) we’re set.

In my opinion, their coach, defense and injuries are the problem. The core with added young talent can go far. Plus its cheap, low risk contracts. Maybe one doesn’t sign for roster space

Fairish TDL Deals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>What incentive do they have to do this though? Nash is a UFA and is arguably not as "good" as Connor is already and a lot older. Vesey has been a disappointment thus far. Im not sure why they do this. Does it make them better? I personally don't think so. Has nothing to do with them having talent to compensate.
As for the McDonagh, yeah he'd definitely be a good add but the problem is, they are sacrificing 2 years of McDonagh for what could be 10+ Years of Sergachev who is already established. Yeah they get better this year and maybe next year but after that they are down McD and Sergachev. Considering they are already a cup favorite, why sacrifice this? Once again 1 step forward, to take 2 steps back in the not too distant future.</div></div>
I did some tweaking to make it better. I didnt take thought of how trading current roster players effects the current season
Vesey hasn’t had much help and is **** on by the awful coaching of young players by the Rangers HC.
